That movie is so goood!!!!! My secret sister just got it for me, and I can't wait to see it again. It makes me cry and laugh and it's just so good!

I love Love Actually too. The bit that makes me cry is when the woman opens the xmas present thinking it is going to be the necklace and it is a CD. That breaks my heart!

A christmas story is THE best!

It's so hard to choose, but I've got it down to two:

1. It's a Wonderful Life -- I love the scene where the gym floor separates to reveal a swimming pool and people are falling into the pool, and at the end when George Bailey returns home and picks up his little girl saying "ZuZu, my little gingersnap!"

2. Jingle All the Way -- I think that even though this movie is funny, it sends out a message that there are more important things parents can give their children, not just at Christmas, but all year, that are more priceless than the cost of a toy.
AussieGirl
I'm with Michaelsnewfan on this one. It's A Wonderful Life - I am such a sentimentalist Roll Eyes and this movie gets me everytime. Smile

I have a few...

Santa Clause The Movie (with Dustin Hoffman as the elf)
Miracle on 24th Street (with Richard Attenborough)
Mickey's Christmas Carol.. Luke's favourite!
The Santa Clause 1 + 2 (I love Tim Allen!!) Big Grin
Annie UK
My favourite is A Chrismas Carol, does not matter what version just the way Dicken's tells the tale is beautiful

White Christmas because of the songs, and the colour just right to put you in the christmas mood.

Then the ultimate is Nazareth - starring Robert Powell.

Hi Marlene,

This was a little tougher question becasue there are so many lovely and touching Christmas Movies that were released.

I have to say my all time favorite Christmas movie that made me cry was "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre".
It made me cry of fright! Smile

I don't cry at movies too so I'm not into Christmas movies. But Love Actually's great (esp. Colin Firth) and Muppet Christmas was cute! Smile

HAHAHA!!! I saw that movie. It has a same effect as Wrong turn and Jeepers Creepers. Not exactly everyone's feel good movie, but me and my friends cracked each other up watching it! We were laughing over all the tumultuous screaming! We had a memorable time so i guess it wasn't so bad either. Wink

I love you for sentimental reasons
Catherine1980
How spooky, was just having this same conversation with my work friends. Someone just bought the new TV guide to xmas programes, so we're all planning what to watch and when.

Santa Claus the movie is on on xmas day - will definitely be watching that.
And Shrek is on xmas eve!!!! Yay!!

Catherine.

For me it si definately "Holiday Inn".
While not strictly a Christmas movie (it actually has many holidays featured)it will always be associcated with Christmas for me because it was always aired on TV during the Christmas holidays. It came on every year and I have fond memories of watching it with my Dad (who passed away 10 years ago).
It was watching movies like this one with my Dad as a kid that gave me a love of the Big Band swing/jazz music and also for tap dancing. This movie had the best of both with Bing singing and Fred dancing their hearts out!!!!
And of course this movie was the first time that all time classic "White Christmas" was heard Smile

After searching high and low I now have it on DVD - still love it.

The Santa Clause(1,2)
Home Alone(1,2)

I like to watch those in the summer! On July 25 I like to turn up the air, put on sweater, light some cinnamon candles, bring to boil some water, nutmeg, whole cloves, apple pie spice and polutry seasoning--makes it smell like dinner is cooking!, watch my X-mas movies and just have a Christmas in July......Even if it is near 100° outside. For me it's definitely "White Christmas", yep even with all the scmaltz~ It's certainly a classic never tire of it.

i made for myself a tradition by watching a certain tv show every year on xmas day.
it's called "all you need is love" it is a really romantic show, but in the xmas special they always
surprise people with visits from their loved ones from far away, and then they can spend xmas time together

too bad they stopped making this show, now i watch disney dvd's instead laugh.gif
FirstSoprano
Muppet Christmas Carol!!

I don't really have a FAVORITE christmas movie, but I have to say Muppet Christmas Carol if I had to choose one because it's our family tradition to get together at 10:00pm on christmas eve and watch that movie together. Our tradition was almost ruined last year when our copy of Muppet Christmas Carol was ruined! (Because we still had it on a tape) And I spent 6 hours searching the stores for Muppet Christmas Carol on DVD!!! It was a crazy day, but I was so happy when I finally found it (the last copy they had out on the shelf as well) =] I can't wait until Christmas! =]
Mdntdlt8
Mine is not exacly a movie it's a concert but it has a great christmas story line. TRANS SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA Chrismas Eve and other Stories. It is a family tradition. This is going to be our 7th year this year. It's the best concert I have every seen.
grobanite227
Gee. I forgot all about the Muppet Christmas movie! That's one great movie! But I have to admit that one of my new favorite Christmas movies is "Polar Express" mainly because Josh Groban sings "Believe" in it! That's one very gorgeous song!! biggrin.gif

Has anyone else seen Borrowed Hearts?? I love that movie. It's so cute. It's kind of an old movie but it's a good one. I basically like anything off Abc family.
