Michael Bublé > Michael Bublé > You'll Never Know!

I seriously have no idea how I came upoon Michael and his music! I've always loved Sinatra and so maybe that's how i discovered Michael. But, ya. I'm totally not sure. It seems that I fell in love with the song FEELIN GOOD! Its the best! After that, I pretty much overnight owned all of Michael's albums! How did you guys become Michael Fans?
Laguna
It was because of my daughter. She bought Michael's 2003 self titled CD and played it lots at home and I loved it right from the start. I thought it was the most beautiful record I'd ever heard.

I've always been a huge fan of oldies and the classics. Ever since I was about 11 or 12, I've been a big Elvis fan. I also like music by people such as Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra, etc.

I liked that kind of music so much, in fact, that I never listened to contemporary music. What I did hear of it from being around my friends, I didn't like. I didn't pay any attention to new artists and songs. Of course, sometimes a group or artist is all over the media and so you hear about them (for example, Britney Spears, N'sync), but I never made it a point to listen to any of them myself. And if they weren't always in the news or someone that everyone around me talked about, I wouldn't know they existed. So whenever Michael first came on the scene, I was completely oblivious to him.

When Michael came to Albuquerque in October of 2006, I still didn't know who he was. I don't know if I even remember hearing that he was coming but if I did, I paid no attention to it since I hadn't heard of him. I would have just assumed he was another contemporary artist I wouldn't like. After I became a fan and joined Bungalow B, I learned that he had been here and was kicking myself until he came back again this year. Looking back, I remember seeing him in that Starbucks commercial, too. But since I don't drink coffee, I didn't really pay attention to it. I think I assumed he was just some cute actor they hired for the ad. I didn't know that he was a real singer or even if that was actually him singing in the commercial.

On November 1, 2006 (I have no idea why I remember the exact date, but I do), a new shopping center opened in Albuquerque and my husband and I went to check it out. One of the new stores was an Apple store. We went in and I was looking at one of the iPods they had on display. When I picked it up and went to view the song list, Michael's version of "Moondance" started playing. I listened to it for a minute and I decided that I liked it. It sounded like a classic song, but who was this person with this fabulous voice that was singing it? I checked the artist name on the iPod screen - Michael Buble. When I got home, I went online and looked him up, and ended up buying a few albums on ITunes that night.

I now consider him to be my absolute favorite singer. There is just something about his music that gets to me. I love his interpretations of the classic songs, but I find myself loving his original songs, too.

The first time I saw him in concert at the Reno Events Center in July 2006....I was so impressed by his performance, I knew without a doubt that I would go back to see him again...i've seen him three times already....and counting...hehehehehe...happy friday!!!

I have no so long time of the Bublé fever, but i remember how i met him. I was walkin' i a mall when i began to hear Michael's voice, my dad said that was Frank Sinatra but i said no he isn't... coz i turn my head and in a TV it was playin' Michael's Caught in the Act DVD. And that's how i fall in love with him and his music...
Lol, Ximena!
buble_lover19
i can pinpoint my love of dear michael to the night i was watching kurt browning skate program and michael was singing "moondance" i believe (perhaps fever) damn, i cant remember for sure... but i fell in love... i actually didnt see him as a sexy young man but i continued watching for the voice ... then they zoomed in on michael and my jaw dropped .. like he was young, sexy and tallented.. i was hooked!

i recorded the performance on a tape recorder (yes it was low tech!) and brought it in to my highschool where i begged and pleaded to play it for the class... the teacher told me that he heard michael play in Vancouver! i was jealous!

<3 you michael

guess it was late 2003, anyway at the movie "down with love".. or "two weeks notice"... I really don't know exactly.. I have some flahses of me listenign to songs by MB such as Moondance and CDome Fly With Me, but I can't say for sure when I started being reaaaaly focused on him. I only know that when in 2004 he exported his self titled record here in italy, and he was promoting with "moondance" I was already in love

But it took me a lot to join the forum...never been an internet nerd before. laugh.gif

2003, maybe? I first heard the song "In Laws" on TV, as a commercial, I would say "who is that, I'll buy everything he sings", but for some odd reason never found out who he was. Then in 2004 I was home recovering from a huge ordeal of surgery and home three months sometime during that I saw an entertainment news show and there was a second on Michael. I hit the record button so I could see the credits and got his name that way. Then went online found him and ordered from Amazon ALL his stuff. Within a week or so I had everything he had done. Joined the fan club etc. ( I wanted an ipod during this and that is my main way of listing to him now.) He had been to Boston and I of course had missed him, and I missed him again in Providence due to being sick again. But the next time he came I saw him and met him....he was the sweetheart I hoped he would be! After all this time I've grown to love this wacky, adorable, sweetheart, goofball, who I think is the greatest entertainer we have today! This was just meant to be, I've spent a lot of time getting better, resting, feeling lousy, and Michael's music has just been there to help!
I now have my Buble' corner and my family is now use to me referring to Michael as part of the family, which he is! Love the guy......always!

Well, being a Grobanite I was watching the World Children's Day Concert in September 2002 because Josh was performing. I then ordered the DVD of that show and it's then that I saw Michael for the first time. When the show aired on TV they had cut Michael's performance out totally but when I watched the DVD, there he was!! "I've Got You Under My Skin" was the first song he sang followed by "Spiderman". That's all it took! I was hooked!! David Foster also posted on Josh's board and asked if we could support his new artist, which was Michael. I really don't think that was even necessary since once you hear Michael, how can you not love him!! wink.gif

hmm i saw him on first time on wetten dass this is a german tv show
and then i hear home i bought me its time
so and this is 3 years ago

This is very wierd, but I remember seeing an interview and hearing Michael sing after the interview, several years back.
I can't even remember who the interview was with or what song he sang. The important thing was that this young man made a lasting impression on me. There was something very striking about him that I really can't explain. His love for his family and the passion he had for his music, really struck me as very special. I vowed at that moment to follow his career and tell as many people as I could about him. There has always been something in his voice and that special spark in his eyes that reaches out to whomever he comes in contact with. The determination and sacrifices that Michael has made to make his dream come true is very commendable. As a elementary Music teacher, young people growing up today need more entertainers like Michael to look up to. Thanks Michael for keeping a beautiful art form alive and sharing your beautiful spirit with all of us. Kudos again, Michael. Katie from WA St.

Before his first CD came out I had heard a couple of songs and just fell in love with his voice (I had not even seen him at this stage) - I have them all now and play them every day.

Then I bought the first self titled CD and saw the pictures I was blown away by how gorgeous he is as well as the fact that he sings like he does.

Even all my family and friends love it now and sing along.

He has an amazing talent and I for one feel very glad that he chooses to share it with us all.

I'm not sure exactly when. I love Elvis. So confidence, humor and being so involved with the audience, I like that. I suffer from migraines and sleepless nights. So his smooth voice gives comfort! I do remember an interview on CNN and he was so funny and acted so like one of us! Makes you feel good to support him.
andrewoconnorblue
First heard him singing in probably around 2003 with Kissing a Fool. I had some friends in Vancouver who had said there was some great young guy going round the clubs, and one of them sent me an audio clip in like 2000. but it was very bad quality so you couldn't really tell who it was, just that my friend was screaming away! haha! It wasn't till I first saw him - The album cover the next day, that I thought he was very vaguely familiar. Didn't really think much of it though. So have been a crave for his voice since then. Then the other day I saw a fresh-faced buble on an X-Files episode. from 1996! So THATS why he seemed familiar! And thats the story.

Wow, good question, how did I become a fan of his??

I think it was about 4 or 5 years ago.. I was in love with this man, who had the greatest taste in music, and loved Jazz. He then bought a Buble album when I was with him, and then because I wanted to be into the same kind of music as he was, I believe that was how I started listening to Michael. Since then, never stopped smile.gif So in a way, I should thank that man who brought me to Michael.

I watced the movie the wedding date. It had a few songs on it. Im a true romantic and his songs just made me fall in love. Im having the song Everything. At my wedding to walk down the isle to. I just need to find the music.
hayleybuble
I was driving with my friend in the car and she put his c.d in. Lost was the first song I heard and I made her replay it multiple times. Then she insisted she show me some more songs and played everything and OBVIOUSLY I loved it!! I took her c.d and listened to it non stop until I bought my own copy 2 days later. Ever since then he's all I listen too! It was definitely fate smile.gif
Danzel
Its strange because I never liked Sinatra or the likes but for me he just changes the songs and makes them better. His voice is out of this world and as I said the feel he gives the songs is brilliant.

My best mates mum loved him ages ago so I started listening to some of his songs then but I absolutely love The Wedding Date and 3 of his are in that and I really took to them and I have never looked back.

I was first introduced to Michael Buble by a friend of mine when he FIRST hit our Australian airways with "Sway". My friend had his album playing in her car (we were about 20 yrs old) & in all honesty I thought she was a total DAG! (or "not cool" if you're not up with Aussie slang hehe).
Then my mum started getting into him - even more reason to think he was not cool to listen too haha. So I didnt bat an eyelash and didnt give him a chance (what a cow!!!)

Then in 2005 when he was down here for the "It's Time" tour I bought tix for mum as a surprise Mothers Day present!!! on the day of the concert I had a DAY concert to go to featuring my absolute favourite artist at that time - Australian Idol Winner - Guy Sebastian. Spent the day in the soaring heat and standing for over 6 hours to see this free concert. As u can probably gather - by the end of this I was exhausted and cranky. The thought of going to another concert in a few hours - and to someone i didnt even like for that matter - made me even MORE cranky haha.

After a rush around to get ready and pick up mum we went to the Michael Buble concert at Melbournes Concert Hall - "Hamer Hal". I sat in the seat (towards the back of the balcony seats!) - just really wanting to go to SLEEP after my big day out - when BAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This bloke had my uttmost attention!!!! Throughout the entire concert I was totally and utterly enthralled and delighted with this entertainer I didnt know much about!. He had my mum and I in stitches with his humour - to which I decided I could listen to ALLLL day long! His music had me swooning, swaying and sighing. He had me up in my seat dancing! AND he even MENTIONED Guy Sebastian in his jokes hahah "I love you...."....."I love you too Guy Sebastian". I was like HUH! Is this man in my HEAD haha. And when he did an imitation of Michael Jackson (my OTHER main fan obsession from the early 90's) - well - I was CONVINCED this was the artist for me! hehe.
His songs really "struck a chord" with me - some I knew, some I knew vaguely - and others I was hearing for the first time.
It wasnt until the very last words were sung - during the end of "Song For You" - when to my am amazement he drops the microphone and sings accapella to our huge capacity audience - that I realised I was "GONE"! An ignorant, cynical, skeptic was turned into a bonafied FAN!!!!
We walked out of the hall and could not stop talking excitedly about the show! I had also shared something special with my mum last night - which I will treasure forever.
So on that night I VOWED to go to as many shows as possible next time he came. It only took about 3 years *gasp!* - but we got there! And I went to 3 shows.
Now Ill be waiting for part 3 of my fan journey with Michael Buble.

Thanks for reading!

I heard about Michael when he was compared to Frank Sinatra......
The music was something I was interested in, so I started looking for
Michael Buble'. I don't remember where I saw him first, but yes I was
taken with him.

When I found out he was appearing in Reno, I jumped at the chance to
buy tickets. We had the best seats ever, after the show, I Googled him
and found this site. THAT'S WHEN I BECAME A FAN.......all of you are the
reason I am such a BIG BIG FAN. Yes, you are the reason, I do love his
music and I can't deny he's a real cutie and great to watch. But his fans
are the best......

Hugs,
Vitor Oliveira

The first time i heard Michael was in a t.v advert advertising the radio station magic It was around this time last year and i still remember the advert there was a lady in a car stuck in traffic and it's raining and she puts the radio on and 'Everything' come on At that time i didn't know what the song was called or who sang it but i liked it straight away and everytime i heard it in that advert the more i liked it and had to find out who sang it Then about 2 or 3 weeks later i saw it on a music channel I just caught the end of it and it said at the bottom Michael Buble - Everything I then started looking in the shops for it but i couldn't find it At this point still unaware that Everything was released last April and at that point Call Me Irresponsible was in the shops i looked on ebay and found 'Everything' on there so i bought it and i also saw Call Me Irresponsible on there as well as It's Time Michael Buble Caught In The Act and Come Fly With Me on there too I thought he was a new singer and not realised he had done those albums I still didn't know at that time that he sang jazz which i didn't like I also bought Call Me Irresponsible before i got the Everything cd from ebay thinking that all the songs were going to be the same but i was dissapointed at the fact that i spent £10 on a cd that was mostly jazz That was the first time i heard 'Lost' which i also liked In the end i sold the cd on ebay I was really pleased when i got my 'Everything' cd i couldn't stop playing it I was playing so much it got on my ex partners nerves I played it on the hi fi system on my phone on the computer and he hated it The next time i heard Michael was on the Parkinson show when he sang 'Moondance' and i loved it I thought it was catchy and since then i have been hooked I now have the albums mentioned and singles Feeling Good Everything x3(one is a promo) Home Lost It Had Better Be Tonight(remixes) Spiderman Sway(spanish promo) Comin' Home Baby(promo) I also have the Wall-Mart cd and Totally Buble and Sings Totally Blonde plus special editions of Michael Buble It's Time and Call Me Irresponsible I have also got With Love and 2 cd's with old songs on it from Babalu

I am a relatively new fan since the start of this year. There was a concert of Michael,s on British tv
about christmas ,New year time. I think it was live at Webster Hall. I watched it with my husband
and we both thought it was great. Well afterwards I could,nt get this Buble guy out of my head.
I went out and bought the call me irresponsible cd and then I was really smitten by him. I
played the cd to death and then in March this year my husband asked me what I would like for my birthday
so of course I said some more Buble music please ! The lovely man got me the Michael Buble cd and Come fly
with me cd/dvd and I,ts time, what a great birthday present that was ! Then I bought caught in the act, loved it
and started looking on here, now I am a proud board member here and have recently joined the BB fanclub as well.
The only thing I haven,t done yet is see Michael live could,nt go this time but will see him next time he,s here for sure.
My husband wants to see him too as he is a great Bobby Darin and Sinatra fan. Michael is great and his fans are so lovely and
friendly too, this is a great place to chat about him as we are all in agreement that he,s our man ! biggrin.gif

You will have your chance, Sue!

I first discovered Michael's music in November 2006. When "Call Me Irresponsible" was released, I joined Bungalow B and it was then that I found out that Michael had done a concert in my hometown in October 2006 - less than a month before I found out about him!!!! I was kicking myself so hard when I found that out. I wanted to travel somewhere to see him but I just didn't have the means to do so. So of course I was absolutely THRILLED when I learned that he would be back in Albuquerque this year and I finally got to see him live! So don't fret, he'll be back around to you soon. smile.gif

Oh, I was so upset!!! When I heard he was coming back this year, I ran SCREAMING to my husband, "GUESS WHO IS COMING TO ALBUQUERQUE???????????" and he was like "It's Michael Buble, isn't it?" LOL

Thanks for the compliment, I'm glad you liked my pictures. The ones in my signature are my favorites. I love being able to look at them and be reminded of the concert. I hope I get to go again soon! smile.gif
Captain America
I came across his self-titled album (with "Come Fly with Me) on one of the listen stations at Barnes and Noble. I was looking for a gift for my Dad for Father's Day, so I started listening to the album and really liked what I heard, and I thought he'd love the fact that there was a Beegees remake on there. So I bought the album. His song, "Home" would hit radio stations for another two years.

I became a fan in '04? '06? It was while I was deployed and I saw him in "Totally Blonde" and fell...off my chair...literally! LOL! It was during Meg's dream sequence and the faces Michael and Brody (Brad) were making had us laughing so hard...we fell off of the bench (if you have seen the movie, you know that wasn't the funniest part but you had to be there for the conversation). Honestly, Meg's story has always been a dream of mine (find a gorgeous man to sing his way into my heart, you know what I mean). And when I heard his voice...*sigh*, he had me hook, line, and sinker...and I'm not complaining!

I became a fan this summer. During band camp.
Our drum major plugged her iPod into the big stereo while we were waiting for everybody to show up, and the first song that began to play was "Feeling Good". I knew I HAD to remember this, so I put some of the lyrics into my cell phone so I could search for it later (it would've been much easier to just hear "and I'm Feeling Good" but everybody was talking :]
Ever since then I've purchased
Michael Bublé
It's Time
Call Me Irresponsible
Best buy of my life! Ha!

Hehe, i was a boy at the time. living in singapore and my dad, my own babbino, he played all these little jazz hits at home when he came back from work. so i grew up with Bo Jangles and these wonderful songs. Then i came across my grandad's old Sinatra records and listened to them. Next thing i know, i'm a Sinatra fan and all was good until i had heard all his music and was at a lost. then i heard about this Canadian touring in the Crooner genre and thought "maybe i'll give this a look see, there was alotta hype about it. So i listened in and next thing i know, i'm singing Swing and jazz as a hobby and my musical outlook turned immediately to jazz. Now i sing jazz as a hobby with the school's big band. and occassionally i give concerts for friends and family. One thing i'd like to know is where i can learn some of those funny little italian songs he sings on TV sometimes, i just can't seem to figure out what they are. does anyone know?
It's about the music
Michael sang at my wedding!

Not really, but the DJ had plenty of his songs cued up at our wedding reception. That was in June of 2004. We got to pick the music of course and I had selected so many, our entire dinner hour was all Michael, Frank, Dean, and Bobby. It was magical.

Then in 2005 I saw him in concert. He ran through the crowd and I got to be one of the lucky ones to get a hug, and I kissed him on his cheek. I was HOOKED!

I saw him again in Chicago in 2006.

In 2007 I had heart surgery, it was supposed to be an outpatient procedure, so I was awake through most of it. I got lots of well wishes and support from people on this board. Before, and after. Anyway, during the procedure I had my son's iPod and he had every MB cd he could get his hands on put on there for me. When I was waking up out of the procedure, the song that was playing in my ears was "How Do You Mend A Broken Heart." It was hilarious! How appropriate for the moment. It was just another moment in my life that was stamped forever with Michael Buble playing in the background.

I saw him in STL earlier this year and again in Knoxville on this past Sunday.

Needless to say, I am a HUGE fan!

I first saw Michael on the starbucks commercial and fell in love with his voice and I also thought that he looked cute. Later on I finally looked him up on iTunes and after hearing some samples, I rushed out to buy Let it snow and Call me Irresponsible. I LOVED THEM! I went right back out and bought It's time and Michael Buble. I've been following him closely for over a year now and finally I joined up here at the boards.

I listened to some of his songs on the radio, maybe a couple of years ago now... never knew who the singer was... One day, months ago, I was really bored and chatting with a friend on MSN... bored as I was she suggested me to watch a very funny video on youtube, she gave me the link and there he was... Mr. Bublé in a very funny interview (I still didn't know who he was)... I just couldn't believe his great sense of humor, such a cool, funny, clever guy (and yes... very handsome too! laugh.gif ) Thing is I started watching more interviews and videos and then I realized he was the one singing those songs I adored... my goodness, I couldn't help falling in love right away.... Best of all is this, the more I get to know him, the more I love him... not just the great singer and entertainer he is but also his great personality, humor, kindness, honesty, etc etc
Such a pleasure to be one of his fans and admire not only the artist but the person...
Best wishes!!!

The first time I became a Michael Buble fan was when I first heard his song "Everything" on VH1, and I looked him up on youtube, and I couldn't get enough! He's a great entertainer/performer.

I discovered him at band camp this summer. We were chilling in the band room waiting for everybody to show up, and my band major plugged her iPod into the big stereo. The first song that came on was "Feeling Good". I basically died. I'm completely into that old jazzy kind of music, especially Benny Goodman who is my hero! The second song that played was "Sway", and that is now my all time favourite song in the world!
After that, I bought the two songs from iTunes, and listened to them non-stop. Now I own all three of his major CD's, and am currently trying to get my hands on his Babalu CD.

And I'm literally dying to see him live! The MSG show would be my absolute goal if I didn't have a dance competition the next day =( and if I didn't live on the other side of the Country. Ha!

Hugs,,

What part of Colorado are you from?
I have a brother in Colorado.
Good to hear your starting to really enjoy Michael. You will be hooked
for sure. When you see him live, you will be touched by him and you

It was because of the song "Everything"

hey all-was wondering the moment, song or event that got you hooked

my story a bit vague but to the best of my recall goes like this................

was about 5 months pregant to my second son ( in 2004) with a son already at home (they are 18 months apart) i believe i heard home on the radio. I eventually heard it again and that it was by michael buble. love it each time.
for mother's day i asked for his album..........my husband got me both albums that were out and i played them and danced my 1st son around on my big belly.
the next mothers day i got the third album that was out CMI.
my kids dance and sing to michael-even the baby whos is now 17 months, and my older boys are 5 1/2 and 4

had missed a show because my pregancy was a bit too far along to travel to NJ or CT
Missed the 1st round of CMI show cause by then i was pregnant to my 3rd son (2007)- he was due on Aug 4th, the day michael would be in my area (ny)

after our third was born-i got tkts to see him at teh WaMu theatre in NYC, (my son was about 8 wks old and got 2 babysitters to watch my kids since the new baby was so small and thye al needed dinner and pjs and to be put to bed-god bless my sister and my teeneage sitter)
well then he was goingto mohegan sun (april 08) got my tkts from a guy on craigslist-mailed cash and hoped i would get the tkts and that it wasn't a scam....it was a great show!
went to mohegan sun again on 12/3 and was suprised with a set of tkts from husband to see him on 12/5 at MSG

i guess you could say "he had me at home"!! (hahahaha like from jerry mcquire she had me at hello)

can't wait to hear your story

I'm really a pretty new Michael fan. I've been aware of him...and loved his songs (the ones that made it on radio here, Everything, Lost, Home, etc.) but really didn't find out who sand them. I have been a Grobanite since the Ally McBeal days. I was surfing youtube.com for Groban video's and I found clips of the times that Josh Groban appeared during Michael's 'Caught in the Act' PBS special and they were so fun. I checked out some more of his video's and I was hooked. To be honest he is the only musician that I like that I like as much when he talks as when he sings! He was so funny, modest, self-deprecating, slightly lewd, hockey-odessessed, like he could have been any of the guys that I grew up with...only a fabulous singer. I think that since I became a fan this summer I have seen every interview that is available to watch online. I haven't been able to see a show yet but I want to take this time to thank any of you fans that post video footage of the concerts that you have been to. I have watched insane numbers of them. I have become more than slightly obsessed. I am annoying friends and family with how much I play him. But I can't help it...I am in my last year of nursing school (so stressful!) and nothing soothes me like Michael's voice! I realize sometimes that I ame listening to much and try to listen to someone else...then halfway through another song i think to myself "You know what I really want to listen to...(Insert various Michael Buble songs here)" I might as well take every other artist off my Ipod for a while. lol laugh.gif

Since becoming a fan I have bought:
1. Micheal Buble
2. It's Time
3. Caught in the Act
4. Call Me Irresponsible
5. Let It Snow EP
tongue.gif Which is quite a lot since I don't have a lot of money as a student with debt up to her eyeballs.

i remember reading a very, very short article in a german magazine in 2005 when his 2nd album came out...also, there was a tiny picture of him, and i thought...that doesn't fit singing standards and him being soo young! my mum also read the article and both liking the style of music we talked about buying the cd but later forgot about it again. a few weeks later michael appeared in the german tv show tvtotal...he was soooo funny, totaly different from what i had in mind from the short article...talked about puking into leonardo dicaprio's pool...(if you don't know it, it's probably on youtube...it's worth watching!) then he started singing and my mum and i were awestruck!!!
well, my mum got the it's time cd for mothersday (perfect gift isn't it wub.gif ). again a few weeks later my mum told me that mb will be touring germany later that year. you have to know that my mum is sooo not the type to go to a concert..too expensive, too crowded...her birthday was in september, so i told her be careful what you wish for, it might come true!!
and so i got us tickets for his 2005 tour. it was AWESOME...my mum loved it, and i was hocked too!

so, i guess thanks mum...

I first heard Everything on the radio a few months ago, maybe a year. Some how, it got stuck in my head in mid October, so I looked it up on you tube until I finally found the right video. After downloading it, I started downloading some of his other songs, which after listening to, I was hooked.
