OMG! I took my Mom to see Andy Williams about 10-12 years ago at Christmas time. It was wonderful! I haven't heard him lately, but Mom has and made the comment too, that the voice has aged a little. I guess we can't all hang onto our chops like Tony Bennett. Geez, if my voice is half as good at his age, hell, if I GET to his age, I'll consider myself lucky. Now I'm showing MY age! Posted Image

Hi there guys!

As a new poster here, I thought I'd present an interesting question ...not sure if this has been already asked but here goes.

Who are your personal 3 favorite singers that are alive and kicking. (there are plenty I love that are not with us anymore)

Here are my picks:

1. Michael Buble' (nuff said)

2. Raul Malo this man has an amazing voice and is so versatile it astounds me.

3. Josh Groban man alive, the first time I heard this voice....well...just amazing.

So what are your picks???

Diann,

Thanks for your comments and info! You know, sometimes, it actually is that easy! A hug with an autistic child that likes hugs, (some cannot tolerate them) actually does ease their fears, and calm them down. My son is a real cuddle bunny, and hugs with him are the greatest!

Hugs,

great question - too many answers!! i am really starting to like Dean Martin! he puts a lot into his songs -and sorry - but Frank just is too boring of a singer. when you hear him sing and then hear michael sing the same song there is NO comparison...so- that's two -but no way can i leave out - paul mccartney, kevin spacey, buddy holly,Linkin Park, etc...

Sticking to 3 living male singers, this is very easy for me...

In alphabetical order Posted Image

Michael Bublé
Bob Dylan
Paul McCartney

singers in the next group would include Richard Leech, Barry Manilow, Clay Aiken, Smokey... and the ladies should have their own thread.

(In order of appreance in my life!)

The thing that they all have in common is that they truly love what they are doing and they take joy in it. They put so much emotion into each song, it's hard not to get caught up in it. They are all also good, special people that inspire me always!

Went to a Recording Academy screening tonight of An Inconvenient Truth, that Melissa Etheridge wrote a beautiful song for. There was a panel discussion after the film, and Melissa was on the panel. She talked about working on the film and writing the song. She was interesting and sincere. She looked great, and it was wonderful seeing her healthy and happy.

Vegi,

(Sorry, I don't know your actual name), does he really pay for this board? I would have thought it was paid for by Reprise. How is is fan club funded? Is he actually sponsoring that as well? I'm curious because a good friend of mine ran what was William Shatner's official fan club when he had one, and although he was involved in the sense that he lent his physical support, it was actually paid for by her nd the other members. They didn't have a message board then.

I can totally see where the Buble family would get upset to have their personal lives dissected, and I am sorry to hear someone would slamMichael, or his family on what is supposed to be his message board, no matter who sponsors it. If you don't like a performer, that's fine, but why invade a fan site to bring your own negativity.

I have not seen any of those posts, thankfully, but I am new to this. And frankly I joined because I wanted to send a personal message to Amber Buble to tell her how much of an impact Michael's concert in Roanoke had on me.

Like I told her, it was the first time in 8 years the word Autism never entered my mind for 2 hours. Being Exec. Dir of the Autism Society in Northern Virginia, and having a son with Autism, I can tell you, autism is a 24/7 thing for me, and he wiped it away for two hours. It was like taking the vacation I haven't had in 14 years!

because of that concert, I have made a conscious effort to give myself two hours a day of myfavorite music. And because of that, I've taken up bicycling again (no, Michael, the one with actual wheels!) and while I ride for two hours, I have my Ipod on. Not only am I waymore relaxed than i used to be, but I lost ten pounds!!!

Funny how one concert can make such an impact, isn't it? I suppose, if I ever get to meet Michael, that would be the one thing I would want him to know. I take that back, the one thing i would like him to knowis that I would give almost anything to have him

do a benefit concert for the Autism Society, because he has also reached my son through his music. And the rest of the U.S. needs to know how music reaches these kids!

I hope he does check in, because i truly think that while there might be a proportionof fans that are obsessed with his personal life, what I've seen on this board has been very respectful, and very warm and caring towards each other as well. Kudos to all of you.

And Michael: with all due respect, forget what i posted before about making a record. I keep seeing on the Daily Buble site that you have been doing some charity concerts. Come and do one for us Autism Moms, and all the people we need to reach to help our kids! Pleeeeeeaase!

It's my turn now.

1. Michael Bublé
2. Barry Manilow
3. Neil Diamond

Does it have to be three? I would also like to add Paul McCartney and Andrea Bocelli to my list.
