Definitely NOT Carey nor Dion nor Houston. Real singers, please!!
Another with Monheit wouldn't go amiss!

Sofia, certainly not. I'd like to see Michael sing with an interpretive artist. Someone who realises that a lyric can be caressed. Michael is an interpreter not a belter of songs.
A powerful voice isn't everything. Having one does not make you a good singer. Have a listen to Peggy Lee, Marlene VerPlanck or Mary Cleere Haran. They are real singers.

(Michael doesnt belt songs? So he never sang "Home" or "You and I" or "Song for you"....? Posted Image Posted Image)

I understand what you're saying and I do agree to a certain extent.
There needs to be more than a strong voice. Carey hasnt survived for 15 yrs JUST cos of her strong voice.
Carey is to me a real singer.
Much more so than Celine and Whitney.

Unfortunately she doesnt show the world this all too much and that is to her disadvantage.
When Mariah "caresses" a song, she DOES in every sense "caress" it, but like I said, she doesnt do it too often.
She doesnt ONLY have a strong voice. She is so much more than that. Unfortunately, again, she wont show the world this.
Ive been to one of her concerts. A performer, she is not *L* but a singer, she is indeed.

I believe Mariah and Bublé COULD do something really good together cos they both have this amazing talent-their voices. They can go anywhere vocally.
Im not saying they SHOULD do a song together, but they COULD. Posted Image
Have you ever heard her song "The wind"?

To get back on topic.....

I am a strong believer of a duet between him and Bette Midler.

I dunno who said it, but I agree on the K.D Lang thing. They could also do something great together. I just love her voice!

Sofia, where are you from in Sverige? One of my best friends is from Malmö. Also had a friend from Jonkoping.
I'm not so sure that Bublé belted out the songs you mentioned! We'll have to agree to disagree about Carey. Agree with you about Dion and Houston! Why, Whitney almost reached that note in "I will always love you'!!
Of today's younger singers, I'd like to hear Michael sing with Stacey Kent or Tierney Sutton. And what about Britain's own Clare Teal?

Nicksinatra~ Lets, like you said, agree to disagree (even about Bublé LOL) Hahahaha!!!!

Was very suprised when I saw you had written Sverige instead of Sweden *L*
Your friend lives in Malmö eh?
I was born in the south of Sweden, so me and your friend kinda share the same accent. Your friend would know what Im talking about.

My dad doesnt live far from Jönköping and I have a cousing there, who studies at the unviersity.

I live on the west-coast. Near the big lake called Vänern LOL!
Your friend SHOULD know where that is!

Sofia, yes, I do indeed know about the southern Svensk accent! My friend says he'd never be able to work as a newsreader in Sverige! He now lives in London having spent a few years in my city, Liverpool.
I was told by my other friend that Agnetha from Abba is from Jönköping. My sister lives in Vancouver, so she is close to MB, whilst I am from Liverpool and, so, have The Beatles. I do feel that out of the three mentioned I have lost when it comes to having musical talents from my town! I much prefer Abba and Michael to The Beatles!

HA!
True.
Kinda have to speak like they do in Stockholm to be offered such a job. *L* Fascist pigs LOL!!!
Ppl say they dont understand what we're saying. So stupid!

I did not know Agnetha was from Jönköping!? You learn sumthin every day!

Not much of a ABBA Fan, but I do like some of their music. It is fed to you, thru the breast milk.....
My dad is a Beatle Fan. Or maybe he is more a Fan of that kind of music from tha era? 60s Rock ´n Roll. But I guess he has a soft spot for The Beatles.

I read, before he recorded quando quando with nelly furtado, he did it with renee olstead..
renee is great, would be nice to hear her with him. And I dont think that he'll do something with carey...in an interview in australia, he made a lot of jokes about her..
But I really love to see him make a song with me..that would be perfect! I'm a singer too, so it would be nice

I agree with Ali-s, I think a duet with Robbie Williams could be so nice !
I've seen "Finding Nemo" the other day, and Robbie Williams sings "Somewhere beyond the sea" so well.
Their voices would be great together !
Julia :)

Robbie??? Mmmmm. I am not agree so much. We have seen Robbie like a crazy rock-pop star a lot of years. And,suddenly, the boy appeared with and elegant suit an showing off a forced gallantry. That's radical change is difficult to assimilate and I think that he didn't do that well.

A song to next CD: "The girl from Ipanema".

Out of all the suggestions so far, I like K D Lang....she has a beautiful voice. Mariah Carey - well she can sing but her style would not suit Michael. Plus, if they made a video or did TV appearances I would not be able to watch because she gets on my nerves so much!!! LOL It's a shame that Ray Charles is not still alive - if MB had been part of the Genius Loves Company project that would have been wonderful. How about this for a living male - Tom Jones!!!! They sure would burn up that stage!!!!

I agree wholeheartedly with Julie W

STACEY KENT She sings with Humphrey Littleton
