For me it's definitely "White Christmas", yep even with all the scmaltz~ It's certainly a classic never tire of it.
also, "Holiday Inn" great classic with Bing, and Fred Astaire. Then theres: "Miracle on 34th Street" and "It's A Wonderful Life" is right up there too. I have all the dvd's- love the classics during the holidays!!! Posted Image

For me it si definately "Holiday Inn".
While not strictly a Christmas movie (it actually has many holidays featured)it will always be associcated with Christmas for me because it was always aired on TV during the Christmas holidays. It came on every year and I have fond memories of watching it with my Dad (who passed away 10 years ago).
It was watching movies like this one with my Dad as a kid that gave me a love of the Big Band swing/jazz music and also for tap dancing. This movie had the best of both with Bing singing and Fred dancing their hearts out!!!!
And of course this movie was the first time that all time classic "White Christmas" was heard Posted Image

After searching high and low I now have it on DVD - still love it.

The Santa Clause(1,2)
Home Alone(1,2)

I like to watch those in the summer! On July 25 I like to turn up the air, put on sweater, light some cinnamon candles, bring to boil some water, nutmeg, whole cloves, apple pie spice and polutry seasoning--makes it smell like dinner is cooking!, watch my X-mas movies and just have a Christmas in July......Even if it is near 100° outside. i made for myself a tradition by watching a certain tv show every year on xmas day.
it's called "all you need is love" it is a really romantic show, but in the xmas special they always
surprise people with visits from their loved ones from far away, and then they can spend xmas time together

too bad they stopped making this show, now i watch disney dvd's instead

Muppet Christmas Carol!!

I don't really have a FAVORITE christmas movie, but I have to say Muppet Christmas Carol if I had to choose one because it's our family tradition to get together at 10:00pm on christmas eve and watch that movie together. Our tradition was almost ruined last year when our copy of Muppet Christmas Carol was ruined! (Because we still had it on a tape) And I spent 6 hours searching the stores for Muppet Christmas Carol on DVD!!! It was a crazy day, but I was so happy when I finally found it (the last copy they had out on the shelf as well) =] I can't wait until Christmas! =]

Gee. I forgot all about the Muppet Christmas movie! That's one great movie! But I have to admit that one of my new favorite Christmas movies is "Polar Express" mainly because Josh Groban sings "Believe" in it! That's one very gorgeous song!! :D

i don't know if 'love actually' qualifies as a christmas movie, but this one scene in that movie makes me cry every time--the scene where mark is holding up these big posters at juliet's door, telling her that he's in love with her? gets me every time.

elle Posted ImageI love Love Actually too. The bit that makes me cry is when the woman opens the xmas present thinking it is going to be the necklace and it is a CD. That breaks my heart! Joanna

The gift part, That's the same part for me. Not really tears, But it gets me everytime.

I have WAYY too many faves. Here's my list:

1. How the Grinch stole Christmas
2. The Santa Clause
3. Jingle all the Way(all time fave)
4. Rudolf
5. Borrowed Hearts

Has anyone else seen Borrowed Hearts?? I love that movie. It's so cute. It's kind of an old movie but it's a good one. I basically like anything off Abc family.
