It was so odd when I was first figuring out who David Foster was (hey, give me a break, I'm young ), and I realized that SO many of the songs I had always liked were written or produced by him.

He IS a genius! And a really nice guy, too.

I have been looking back on some of David's work and realized he's written some of my most favorite songs! He has a resume to die for, and boy does he know where to find new artitsts.

Geez, I am so slow! I finally registered to this message board tonight so I'm finally checking out all these interesting threads! So, umm, yeeeaaaahhhhhhhh, you might say I kinda like the Foz-man!! I think my fellow Grobanites may have noticed. One of the only celebrity portraits I've ever done that I don't want to part with would be of David! Hey, can you blame me?!?

I found out David Foster worked with Carman and when I heard that I immediately thought of a music video of his I saw where I recognized the pianist...now I'm sure it had to be Mr Foster! If anyone has any idea on which song(s) David did with Carman let me know!

Karen

Carman and Foster.....ok....David Foster has produced the song "The River" for the 1993 cd "The Standard".
He has also produced the new song "Serve The Lord" on his 1993 "Absolute Best" collection.
Hope this helps.
Tommaso.

Yes it does, Tommaso. I was sure I had seen David Foster playing piano in Carman's video "I will Serve the Lord" but I hadn't seen the video in YEARS! Now I KNOW it was him. Thanks Tommaso!!!!!!

YUP! Foster is da man, I first heard about him when I bought Celine's first English CD, and since then, the collection of Foster songs has grown through many artists.

Today I went to pick up a bunch of prints to use for the next DFF auction, and while I was looking at them to make sure the color was good, one of the women I used to work with saw the one of David. I loved her reaction! She said, "God, HE'S CUTE!!!! He looks like he was built from a Kit!!!" LOL! I never heard anyone quite put it that way. I just thought it was funny!

Ellen... I LOVE your David Foster portrait. Almost as much as I love grunge Josh... almost, and that's saying a LOT.

Check out David's own web site. www.davidfoster.com

I like the clean look of the site, but I wonder why all the photos must be placed in front of his crotch to view them?

Haha! Anna, I noticed that, too!! I just thought that was kind of interesting that they picked a photo of his midsection to stick in the middle of the page.

OK, Sheryl, let me see if this will work. I haven't tried this on this board yet, so I don't know how this works. David Foster

OK, yeah, that worked! I'm still new at this board so I'm just still seeing what all the different message options are all about. Oh, yeah, and Sheryl, I have thought about doing a drawing of Michael, but it looks like someone on the board has already done a few so far!
