I have seen Michael live 4 times now, this Anahiem concert being the 4th, and it was just as amazing as the first time I saw him live. I had the privilege to take my niece with me to this one. I got her hooked on Buble and she had been dying to see him live. Being that her birthday was just a few days before the concert, I decided, what better way to celebrate her sweet 16, then by going to a Buble concert? When I told her over the phone that I got us tickets (was gonna wait and surprise her but I was so excited I only last a week before I spilled the beans, lol) she went nuts. She began yelling, "Anthony! (that's my nephew's name) come here and pinch me! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! You are the bestest aunty in the whole wide world and universe combined! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OUCH! That hurt!" Yep, he pinched her, lol! She told her friends, whom he got hooked on Michael as well, and every one of them was jealous the she was going to get to go.
Seeing him live is one thing, but getting to share the concert with my niece who I am so close to (everyone says we are more like sisters than anything) was even greater. To see the look on her face when Michael first came out on stage, I wanted to laugh and cry and jump up and down. She was in awe. Some songs, she didn't even sing a long to, but only cause she was in such awe over the whole experience. She wore a smile the entire time. When the confetti rained down, she was dancing and singing along to the music, but also trying to collect as much of the confetti as she could, to take home as a souviner. (Ok, I admit I took some too, just a bit to toss in my scrapbook)
We were hoping to do the whole meeting by the buses thing after, like I got to do a few years ago when I saw him in Santa Barbara, but to no avail, but it wasn't done without trying by waiting out in the cold for awhile. (We even took a pic of the car sitting by it's lonesome in the parking lot, maybe only 3 other cars there when we left, lol) But even with that, it could not shake her excitment of getting to see our Michael live, on stage, for the first time. I'm so glad they pull out that little stage in the middle of the concert, it was how we got closer to him, maybe only 10 ft away from the man himself, when they did.
So once again, I just want to thank you so much for a wonderful evening and show. My niece still talks about it, and I'm sure she will for a long while.
Us all dressed and ready to go to the venue
