I fight cynicism. It's too easy. It's much harder to be positive and see the wonder of everything. Cynicism is a bunch of people who aren't as talented as other people, knocking them because they make them feel even more untalented.~ewan mcgregor

What´s more annoying is that this show that he was on is only a train ride away ! It is a Bingo show and they shoot it in Gothenburg !
Here I am wishing, hoping and praying that he should come to Gothenburg and not Stockholm and looksy looksy ! He WAS IN GOTHENBURG !!!! I got my wish granted before I even knew I wished for it. Haha ! Talk about psychic abilities.........

I always wondered why they decided to do My Funny Valentine without the mike at the end...

I know this goes way back, but I hadn't seen it until now
and thought maybe the rest of you would like to read it.
Alan Chang is an extremely talented musician. I hope
he continues working with Michael.
Take care all,
Jo

So often I've felt like commenting on the wonderful backup to
Michael's songs that Alan Chang does. I'm so glad that they're
working together--and I hope it will continue. I can't imagine
anyone else doing as well.
Take care all.

like too much of a coincidence, but I just did a post about
ALAN CHANG on the "That's Life" forum. Then, when I went back
to the other forums, I saw your post. As I said there, I think
that he is a great musician and I've always loved the songs
that he and Michael do together. I can't imagine anyone else
doing as well. I hope they stay together.
Take care,
Jo

I was at that Oakland show as well. I agree, it was so great but too short.
I'm in a video outside the Oracle when Michael came out to say hi to everyone and
sign.
I too have a story about Alan whom I think is such a bright musician and arranger
of music for Michael.
I was in Vegas for one of MB's shows and my hubby and I were walking around the casino
and went past a restaurant. There sitting outside on a bench was Alan. I saw this young
man sitting there but I was talking with my hubby and as we pasted I took a double-take. It
was Alan. I stopped a while up the walkway and told my hubby I'm sure thats Alan, he looked
back and stated, "It is him". Go talk to him. I got nervous but then, calmed down went back
and we talked for about 10 mins. He is so easy to talk to just like all the band guys and it
goes without saying Michael too. I hail right near his hometown, so we talked about home and
family and music and his band too. He was very gracious and took a picture with me. He also
signed one of mine that I had with his picture and Michael's together.
I luckily also got to see Michael before the show and just briefly talked with him, he needed to
get to rehearsal but he looked great after just getting better from a bad cold he had.
I had written something about the show, and I got a message from Alan's mom that was so
sweet and gracious of her. Telling me she appreciated the things I said about Alan.
These are the kinds of things going to an MB show that I treasure. Not just meeting and talking
with Michael a bit, but the guys in the band are great too and it's so wonderful that any of them
offer to even spend a little time with you.
I never had more fun at shows and I've seen many entertainers, but Michael's shows are the very
best. Just to be able to meet and entertainer is such a plus if you go to a show. It just doesn't
often happen. I will remember those times always.
For any future shows I see I will make more memories with the wonderful people I've met here on
this board and away from it. Some are fans who go to his shows but just aren't members of the
boards. We've become good friends and keep in contact always. We plan to go to shows together
whenever we can all make it. This part of my life is always like, something to look forward to.
There will be a time when I cannot go anymore so I'm enjoying it while I can. Who knows I maybe
even able to see Michael after all his fame has somewhat deminished, and in his older years, he may
go back to performing the the smaller venues again. I will be older too, but I will get there!
