I paid about £40 to be at the front of a Take That gig at Wembley Stadium....There's absolutely no excuse, why do we get ripped off by International artists when they come over here? Sucks. I find the same happens when I've seen Justin Timberlake and Madonna.

I am not surprised at the prices being charged for michaels concerts when you consider how popular he has become ,having said that i totaly agree with you.
In my experience having been to many different concerts watching michael i have found that it sometimes pays to wait and see if other dates become avaliable or after all the first day hype of tickets going on sale better tickets become avaliable.(this happened to me a couple of years ago when i had bought 2 tickets 7 months previous at double the face value to be told by the girl next to me that she had bought hers that day from the venue box office---promoters always release seats at a later date)however we all get sucked in to buying because we are afraid we will miss out.
what upsets me is the tickets that have gone on sale 2/3 days before the tickets go on sale to the public at prices of up to £450 each.these tickets have come from various sources including im sorry to say some pre fan club ticket allocations.I know this goes on with all music/sport etc events but it stops the true fans from seeing & enjoying the people they admire, there should be a law stopping individuals doing this but i dont know how this would be done.all i do know is michael would want as many of his fans to be watching him enjoying his concerts and not being ripped off .
I know i have strayed from your point but i feel it all ties in
I have the feeling that there will be another date in london(a little bird told me hope its true !)fingers crossed

hi richard thanks for reply, i said to another member im sure other dates will be added usually 02 london but cardiff is missing also so i think that may come up also,at least we seem to be getting michael 1st here usually he does a huge usa tour, australia ,and europe and then we get him ,when hes totally exhausted at the end ,and it shows, once you have seen him many times you know the difference to when hes fresh or just overworked, but with these prices this year i think his team may think he is bigger than he is,i know how popular michael is but is that an excuise to overcharge people for watching him,i personally cant justify this,no matter how successful you are, pricing ordinary people out of the market is not good, anyway hope you enjoy the show next year and all goes well for your buble experience xxxxxxxxx

I know its not Michaels fault, but having heard him say in concert that he understands that money is tight these days and that tickets are not exactly cheap, he so appreciates people digging deep to come and see him, It kind of sticks in the throat now to see how much even the genuine ticket prices have so escalated. I wonder what he thinks of that! But as has already been said, this is what happens when stars become "international". When you have followed someone from the very start of their career, its so upsetting when people who clearly have no appreciation of the artist and the promotors so exploit the real fans. There should be some way of stopping these greedy people making money on the backs of the genuine fans. I'm not saying we should be entitled to preferential treatment as I dont really agree with the idea of pre-sales as I think it has created just the monster we are dealing with now.
Much as I love Michael, the way I feel at the moment, I dont think I'll be seeing him on this tour.
I'll probably change my mind and be first in the rush tomorrow morning, but I certainly will not play into the hands of the greedy touts!!
Anyway, good luck everybody

I have managed to get my tickets on pre-sale and was totally shocked at the price. I went to watch him at the Liverpool echo last time he was here at half the price. Of course he will be worth it but i wonder why the cost has increased so much!!
I would like to go to 2 shows if i can but as it is i will have to wait for extra dates as i won't be able to afford another ticket just yet. Such as shame as some people may miss out, especially with the current financial climate.
I know how lucky i am to get a ticket and it'll be worth every penny... just might mean i have to sell a few things to pay for my next ticket (if i can get one!!) Thanks for the tip above as well... i never thought of going to the venue at a later date and asking for tickets... will keep this in mind. Do you know when it might be a good time? Month before for example?
Thanks
Carrie

i dont really know what a good time might be but if you live near by i would pop in when you can you might get lucky, i know this to be the case on lots of occasions from people i know who have attend different concerts.
But can i say to all ---there will be lots more occasions to see michael in the future no one can take away the early days of the concerts ,and the buzz of a great talent starting off, we were lucky to see all of that and i hope we can all be a part of his continuing success.

Disgusted at the price of tickets, having been a follower since my son was two and a huge fan, Now my son is 7 and I always promised to take him for his 8th birthday..At £80 a pop i shall not be doing that...someone on here was talking about seatwave selling tickets...I see They are like 250 each for front block!! Even £119 for way back...

My dad bought crappy seats but it was important to at least get some. I'm just hugely disappointed that I have seen sites where they are offering the A block for £300 and obviously ebay will be doing the same. I just wanted 2 a, b or c block seats for my mums 50th next year but nope, as she has never seen him before and has always wanted to. As usual the selfish people have to take them and sell them for more than double.
Just gutted right now that the 15th was also sold out before general sale.

I Hvaen't been on here for so long, But had to return
I was really shocked at the prices of tickets this time round. I missed Michael when he toured the UK last so I was desperate to see him this time But as he is touring in May, a crucial time for me as im currently in my last year of University and May is When i have a major exhibiton. I'm so upset, I know he can't change his tour dates or anything, but still
Now if he added a Cardiff toue date I would be SOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy
Did you all get tickets to where you wanted to go?????
MICHAEL YOU ROCK MY WORLD!!!
The 12th of November 2005 was the best FRICKIN Night of my life, thankyou Michael

Can I say that seetickets are a complete joke too....you get conned into parting with £146 for 'top seats', yet they don't tell you where you're sitting when you pay. From past experience, I've ended up at the back. The touts are going to have a field day....as much as it might hurt, don't pander to them and buy their tickets at inflated prices.
Luckily I managed to get some for Sheffield thanks to my friend, row 7 but still £80 plus booking fee....will have to do some serious saving to pay for them!
