Just thought the timing might be RIGHT, to bump this thread..............................................
Nice evening here in So Cal... quiet and cool. More like Autumn.... We don't really get a Winter... not like most of you. We West Coasters are really spoiled... If we ski, we drive up to the mountains. In the same day, we could be surfing in Hermosa Beach, or sitting with a glass of wine overlooking the most amazing sunsets. We are spoiled....
But, I digress..... the above has not much to do with this thread, except that Mr. Buble is in town and will be in the desert on Saturday night..... I know it will all go wonderfully.
Wish you only the very best... kid.... always...
Sitting here and listening to Jack Jones sing Embraceable You, which as you know one day you should record.... but you know that.
Friday and Saturday nights I will be at Catalina Bar and Grill in Hollywood.. seeing Jack Jones... 71 and sounds 35. If ever any of you have the opportunity... do not miss him. He's a treasure. This music is what Jack "covets" if you will.
Recently, when he spoke with Brad Chambers, I sat there thinking... "how nice it is to hear someone who has such a musical history "chat" so easily. To have set up this interview without all the "connections" or "relays" or whatever it is today. I don't know.... But, I made one phone call and I was received with "open arms" and an attitude that I can't quite explain.
Here I am... nobody.... and I call Jack Jones representatives office and I said that I'd like to set up an interview with Martiniinthemorning.Com and Brad Chambers about Jack's upcoming performance at Catalina Bar and Grill. They couldn't have been more warm and appreciative and easy to speak with, if I'd scripted it myself. Let me preface this by saying... this guy is a legend in the music business. He doesn't need to be interviewed to fill that little club, nor a huge concert hall. But... it's about the music, ultimately... about the music.
I don't know where else to go here...
