Gentlemen,

For the life of me, I cannot understand why you people at Reprise who are supposed to be promoting Michael Buble's new CD, "Crazy Love" haven't contacted Martiniinthemorning.Com for an interview. Certainly ovations have been made in connection with there being an interview. There must be a bubble that you function in that is like a government agency, there is no "thinking outside the box" of local radio..

When Michael does a 4-5 minute interview with a local radio station in any city, that interview only reaches those in that particular area, just as far as their towers project. Those stations also only play 2-3 cuts off the new cd, at best and not often. Once they have briefly promoted the new CD, they resume "normal programming" and rarely play Michael again!

Martiniinthemorning.Com reaches all over the world, has listeners all over the world. The site's Chat Lounge has it's many "permanent residents" of which I am one. Each day, we chat with people all over the world, who "WE" and Brad Chambers introduce to Michael Buble. We speak with people in South America, Latvia, Russia, Slovakia, Mexico, Spain,France,The Netherlands..... I am certain that I could fill a complete page with all the countries that Martini reaches each day. Many of the new listeners have never heard of Michael Buble. But when they tune into Martiniinthemorning.Com, they not only get introduced to Michael's music and a bit of Michael's history from us in chat, they also hear more Buble than anywhere else in the world. Brad Chambers plays consistent double plays of the complete Michael Buble Songbook, if you will. No where does this happen, except on this internet radio station, Martiniinthemorning.Com.

In 2003, when Brad Chambers was the Morning Man at the standards station here in Los Angeles, both David Foster and Michael were in the studio at 7AM in the morning for an interview of his first Reprise CD. I remember it vividly, as it was the first time I'd heard of Michael. I also remember the time of day, because I was at the gym working out. 7AM.... very early for people in the music business. But, this was a new, young singer trying to get exposure, with a hunger probably not seen since Sinatra. Now that success has come, Michael still needs as much exposure as possible for each CD released. Yet, there has been no interview since early 2003 - almost seven years ago!

So my question to the Execs. at Reprise is..... When are you setting up an interview for Michael with Brad Chambers? He reaches more people each day than probably all the interviews he's done so far on radio, combined. One would think that a record label would have a desire to reach the most people it can to sell as many CD's as possible. But this lack of communication to Martiniinthemorning who is exposing Michael more than anyone in the world gives me and many others, pause for thought.

DARYL, what you say really makes sense!!! Thank you for
all you do for us in promoting Michael's music. It's really
amazing what he's accomplished--but we can only imagine what
your suggestions would do.

Take care,
Jo

Daryl -

I truly admire your loyalty. Mr. Chambers and his radio show should be proud to have such passionate listeners as yourself. Hopefully Michael and/or the folks at Reprise will read it and do the right thing. Brad has been such a steadfast promoter of Michael and his music - it only seems right that another interview should take place - even if it's a phone interview. Seems to me that Michael could squeeze that in some where in his busy schedule. It's a shame that the last interview he gave on Martini in the Morning was almost 7 years ago! Well - I sure hope hope your letter reaches the right ears and Brad gets his interview. You are a good friend and a loyal listener. Give yourself a pat on the back girlfriend!!

Hey Jo and Becky....

Thanks for your lovely words.

The one thing I've learned in life and maybe later than most, is that you have to follow your passion... always! This is what Brad is doing thru thick and thin. Kind of like life for many of us right now, difficult but we push forward. Supporting Brad and this music and making sure that I spread the word each day and support those "in my life" who I so deeply believe in, is the most important thing to me.

So, I felt "compelled" to communicate, whether it gets read by anyone at Reprise or not. I think this will be an interesting thread that has a life of it's own.

Hugs,
D

DARYL YOU HAVE BEEN WITH BRAD FROM EARLY ON PROMOTING HIM, YOU KNEW HE HAD THE PASSION FOR THIS MUSIC, HE HASN'T HAD AN EASY GO OF IT BUT HE'S STUCK IT OUT, IT'S PAYING OFF WITH PEOPLE FROM AROUND THE WORLD LISTENING TO HIM, HE NOT ONLY PLAYS THE BEST MUSIC, HE HAS A PERSONALITY THATS LIKE AN OLD FRIEND, SOMEONE YOU KNEW FOR AGES AND ARE SOOO COMFORTABLE WITH. .HE PLAYED MICHAEL FROM EARLY ON. I REMEMBER WHEN HE CALLED MICHAEL ON MICHAEL'S BIRTHDAY , THAT WAS ABOUT FOUR YEARS OR SO AGO. MICHAEL WAS AT DAVID FOSTERS WORKING ON A NEW CD. THE SONG HE WAS WORKING ON WAS " A CRAZY LITTLE THING CALLED LOVE" MICHAEL WAS RATHER SHY AND ASKED BRAD, DO YOU WANT TO TALK TO DAVID? BRAD SAID, MICHAEL, IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY, WE CALLED TO WISH YOU A HAPPY BIRTHDAY, THAT WAS SO CUTE. DAVID DID COME ON AND SAY A FEW WORDS. IT'S JUST ONE OF THOSE THINGS YOU ALWAYS REMEMBER. DARYL, YOU ARE A GREAT PROMOTOR BECAUSE YOU CARE AND IT COME THROUGH LOUD AND CLEAR.
HUGE HUGS, LORETTA SMILING AT YOU.

Daryl, well said and I hope your letter gets to Michael's people and that Brad will get to interview him again.

I'm looking forward to get to visit Brad in the MITM studios this coming week as I'm going to LA (and hopefully I'll get to meet you too Daryl)

well said Daryl.
Sometimes , I wonder what those at WBR/ Reprise are thinking about......certainly not helping with MB promotion.

There should have bern another PBS show also. David Foster seems to do many of then with Andre Bocelli, but does nothing to promote MB, who records on 143/ Reprise a subsidiary of WBR .... really this young man deserves to be seen by the world ,as well as heard .....so people please MITM & PBS

WBR needs to wake up .

Hi Daryl,

You are so right, and I really hope that your letter will help!
I'm a huge MB fan, from France, and I listen to MITM everyday. To me, this is the most wonderful radio, you can feel the passion through all the music played. We don't have this type of radio in France, and Michael is not played that much here, that's a shame, he's so talented... we don't even see him on French TV shows, he deserves more than that!
He came to France for 2 concerts in 2007, I went to see him, but I'm afraid he won't come again next year because of this weird promotion plan...
Most of the people I know have never heard of him!

So I'll keep my fingers crossed for a concert in France, meanwhile I'll keep listening to MITM and the Greatest Songs Ever Written!!

Take care

Daryl, Love your passion for all things MITM as well as all things Mikey. The new album is amazing and I can't believe that the powers that be have decided to continue to marginalize his exposure this way. Our local station played 1 MB song in the 6 or so hours I actually managed to listen to it....There was no talk at all about his new album and there was probably 18 minutes of commercials each hour. MITM plays MB how often each day? Well lets see, in the 3 hours I've been sitting at this desk today listening in I've heard 3 double plays and 1 single....7 songs.... Well here is hoping that the right person reads your letter and pays attention.

See you soon in MartiniLand!

Shaneh

Hey Vixie,

Marginalize..... very appropriate word for the way record companies function. They seem to have problems getting out of the box and seeing that the internet is the future of music.

You were pessimistic sophie, MB is announced in Paris for May 18 (see Tour dates). The only radio in France where you can hear MB is TSF. In these days you can listen to "All of me" every day. But for TV you are right - I hoped that we could see him in CANAL Le Grand Journal because they use to receive international stars but not Michael unfortunately.

I am with you Darryl I think Michael is doing great but it seems to me in 2003 Michael's site was there but the news came from the members and when I discovered Janie's site she posted pictures, articles from different newspapers and that is when we met Bobby D. he added even more things. When it was Michael's birthday we really had a party with Martini all the calls from all over and we also listened to Michael. Then in Toronto there were few stations that played Michael's cd. When Michael won his first Juno and I could not find the information of course first thing in the morning from Bobby D. I read he had won. So I feel that Reprise really do not show enough appreciation for all the efforts that are done by Martini and The Daily Bublé is read daily and back then videos were scarce not everyone were able to copy them for us. After Bobby D. had them on his site and where ever Michael was we probably watched them the next day. Even radio programs we listened lived... I know Martini has always supported Michael and there is Bubléland and we know with Whitney's efforts she promoted Michael in Holland and there other sites as well. It has been a great journey and it has been fun and where else would you meet all the fans and every day we get to meet more.

So Darryl I know what you are saying is on the money.

D,

I'm curious. It's great that you're so supportive of Brad, but has Brad tried going through normal channels and contacted Michael's publicist?
