My mom had ordered the MSG lithograph for me as a gift. She ordered the regular lithograph and not one of the autographed ones. I was under the impression that every lithograph, even the non-autographed, was going to be hand numbered. However, I cannot find this number anywhere either on the front or the back of the lithograph. There are the numbers that are printed along the sides, but these numbers are all identical to the one in the preview photo, so I am assuming they are just part of the photo.
Am I missing something here? Did anyone else have this issue?
Here's a picture of the one I received. I didn't bother taking a picture of the back side as it is definitely blank. I thought maybe the number was hidden somewhere on the front and I just couldn't see it?

Dear Andrea,
I ordered the signed and numbered poster. The poster arrived on Sat. It is the one you have except it has on the right side of the picture Michaels initials and below that is the number.
My number is 64/450.
I don't know if that is good or what but I love it just the same. I think the picture is super and worth every cent I paid.
I hope that explains a bit of your question.

Thanks for responding! Yes, that does help me quite a bit. There is definitely not a number on the right side of the lithograph I received as you can see. I was confused because I didn't know if perhaps I had misunderstood the description, but I noticed that the three options for ordering were "numbered", "signed and numbered", and "signed, numbered and framed" which clearly indicates that all of them should be numbered.
I agree that it's a beautiful photograph. I don't really care what the number on it is, but if it was supposed to be numbered to show that it was a limited edition print and if everyone else's is numbered, then I wonder why mine is not. I don't know if the exact number matters much. It may not even indicate the order in which it was printed but could just be the order in which it was numbered (I'm not sure about this, though). The main point I think is to say that "only x amount of these were ever produced" and therefore it's more valuable than if a continuous number of them were being printed. As nice as the photograph is, I don't think many people could justify paying quite so much for a photo unless it's supposed to be worth more than just any photo, and that's what the numbering indicates. Without any sort of numbering, there is nothing to say that it is a limited edition rather than something that is mass produced (and while I know that this is supposedly a limited edition, it should still be indicated on the product somehow, like yours is). I just wanted to make sure that nothing was wrong with my copy and if it is, I would like to get it resolved.
ESarah said that she was looking into the matter for me so I greatly appreciate it!

Andrea,
I just saw this thread. Although the pricing is actually reasonable for a limited edition, the store site does state that the lithos will be hand numbered. So yours should definitely have a number in pencil. It definitely affects the resale value. FYI, the numbers that are on the sides are there because the photo was shot not with digital but with a film camera and the image is printed to include the film information in the frame instead of cropping it out. It's done for style rather than anything else. The information in the image tells me that the photographer used Kodak Tmax 400 film in the 120 format. The 11 on the left is the frame number.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I've seen other lithos before and the way they are numbered so I was really confused when mine didn't appear to have been numbered that way.
I can see how it not being numbered would certainly affect the retail value because without the number, there is no "proof" that it is a limited edition.
I'm hoping the issue will be resolved soon. Like I said, it's a great photo, but if it was supposed to be numbered to indicate its value, then I think it needs to be.
Did they just "forget" to number this one? And no one really bothered to look at it before they shipped it?

Does anyone happen to know who at Warner Brothers I can contact directly about this? Someone who contacted them on my behalf was told that I should receive the correct replacement in a week, and that was a month ago. If anyone has any contact info for whoever is in charge of the merchandise, I would GREATLY appreciate it!
