:)

Hello again everyone, especially Betsy. sorry for the short absence--August is rather busy for us folk down here in Cornwall we get lots of visitors calling and staying in our little fishing village. The only trouble is that it has NEVER stopped raining (I think the Atlantic Ocean must be drained dry !!!!ha ha ha ). But still the visotors come and I have been kept rather busy entertaining friends I only see once or twice a year.
As for \Loretta, she has some family worries on her mind at the present time, she and I have become good friends over the years although we have never met, so she is in my thoughts constantly at present.

Betsy, I just have to say that with Nellie Lutcher and "Let me love you tonight" (I saw her here in London in the 1950's !!!)
you have completely hit MY nail on the head --that is the one song I wish MB would record.
You might have guessed by now that I have seen him and met up with him in various parts of Europe--I even gave him a copy of her CD---so I have tried. I just have to think that the CD got lost in the Bus??? because i am sure that if he had heard it, he would have recognised that it would be a winner?????
Yes we could go on ad infinitum with the old classics, but obviously MB has decided to move on and include up date and upbeat tracks. I find the new albumn quite fascinating, but am staying away from "snippets" of tracks and will wait for the CD to come out before passing comment. although I am really looking forward to "Georgia".

Hi Kate,
Please no apologires needed. I know how busy one can become.

As for the new single , it's lively.....if you have Itunes you can download it otherwise you can hear it on the websiteMichael Buble.com

I'm going to find David Foster's Address & send him a letter mentioning Nellie Lutcher's version of "Let Me Love You Tonight", also going to find a copy of cd & send it to MB at Bruce Allen .I will do all this &move ; as the man who owns my beautiful apt. has decided to sell it . fortunately I found one in the same bldg., for the same rent & just about the same size. So I've been just a little busy. And the rains have now arrived in S.Fl. along with constant hurricane watches.

Now I must walk my dogs & try to get to sleep earlier as tomorrow is going to be another busy day for me & the promise of rain is very real.

Betsy

:)

Hello again, under "I knew him when" Nico started a thread back in 2005 entitled "Michael really sounded like..."
There are only two pages but they cover a lot of ground and I thought you in particular Betsy would be interested to visit that thread.
Jo has recently resurrected the thread and caused me to think of all the water that has gone under the bridge in my own "musical lifetime"

Thankyou Jo, so many memories in other countries--and all the friends I have made over such a short span of time, so many nationalities meeting together to hear Michael--and we are all still in touch with each other.
Thank you Michael

Hi, Kate,

I'm so glad to read your great post telling about some of your experiences
in the past since you were aware of Michael!!! That first time was amazing.
And I have read your reports on the other times as they occurred. They
are all wonderful. As relates to the thread that you mention that's on the
"I Knew Him When" thread" that was done in 2005, I was sure that many
people would like to read it who might have missed it otherwise. You tell
about so many interesting things in your posts there--as always.

It's so good to see you back here.

Take care,
Jo

PS-- There have been a large number of hits after June (as well as before).

Hello my lovely ladies,

I am very excited to hear MB's version of "Cry Me a River."

Diana Krall has a wonderful version of it too. I was fortunate to see Diana at the Hollywood Bowl a few weeks ago. She is dynamite. Does a lot more talking to the audience and she's verrry funny. She talks so much now because she said when you have twins, you HAVE to talk alot...

Michael's new album should be a winner and of course I'll have to put a 2nd mortgage on my house so I can get as many performance tickets as possible. I always say, I'll just buy one but that never holds up.

I'm also very much looking forward to Erin Boheme's new album that Michael is producing. She's a fantastic stylist and one of my favorite vocalists. She's written many original songs and a few covers are in there. My dream is for her to do a duet with Michael. Their voices would have such chemistry. They would sizzle!!!

Hoping to see lots of you at the concerts...jeane

THIS IS WONDERFUL SEEING SO MANY GREAT POSTS. JEAN, I AGREE ABOUT ERIN, SHE IS A TALENT THAT MUST AND HAS TO BE HEARD. THOSE OF YOU WHO AREN'T AQUAINTED WITH ERIN BOHEME, PLEASE CHECK HER OUT, SHE WRITES GREAT SONGS , SHE WROTE, "ONE NIGHT WITH FRANK" SHE IS VERY YOUNG BUT HAS THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE STANDARDS OF A PERSON WAY BEYOND HER AGE.LIKE MICHAEL, SHE" GETS " WHAT THE WRITER HAD IN MIND AND KNOWS HOW TO EXPRESS IT. OOOH TO HEAR A DUET WITH MICHAEL, OUR EARS WOULD BE GIVEN A TREAT THAT WE WOULDN'T SOON FORGET. THERE ARE MANY SONGS THAT MICHEL LEGRAND PENNED THAT WOULD BE PERFECT FOR MICHAEL , OF COURSE ANYTHING BY MICHAEL WOULD BE GREAT, EVEN IF HE SUNG THE WANT ADS.
I MUST QUICKLY ADD THAT DELLA REESE HAD PERFECT DICTION.
I WOULD LOVE TO SEE QUEEN LATIFA DO THE LIFE STORY OF, THE LATE PEARL BAILY. REMEMBER PEARL ALWAYS COMPLAINING ABOUT HER ACHING FEET. GEE, I TALK ALOT , TIME TO GIVE MY MOUTH A REST. HOW KATE PUT UP WITH THIS MOUTH OVER THE YEARS, SHE DESERVES AN AWARD.
HUGE HUGS, LORETTA SMILING AT YOU..

Hi Jeane,
I too am an Erin Boehme fan. I won her cd on MITM, Brad Chambers station in L.A. she signed it for me with some
nice wording for me, she's very gracious. She has a marvelous, sultry, saucy, and notable voice. The song,
"One Night With Frank" is such a favorite and she wrote that too. Very clever lyrics and well put together.

Yes, Michael produced one of her records and I'm excited to hear this recording. I've been wondering when this
album will come out. I know Michael still had to finish the session up with her, so I'm hoping that part is now
done. If you hear of it coming out, let me know I've been keeping an eye out, checking her site, been preoccupied
with certain things here and there and actually for about 2 wks, now I haven't been there to check.

I think Jeane I met you in L.A. at the Greek when Michael was there in 2008. I was with Kat and Elaine at the
time we were all in the courtyard just before Michael went on the last night. It was such fun and I got to
meet many more BBer's there. There was a fairly large group of us and we all had such fun for a couple of
days. Got to see and talk to Michael after the last show, which is always awesome.

Have to agree with you about Erin and Michael doing a duet. It would be so great. Two marvelous voices
blending. ♫♫ what could be better than to have one night with Michael ♫♫ :)

Take care
Diane
