Hey Everyone,

I'm sitting here listening to Brad play one of numerous Bublé double plays he airs every day. Unfortunately, unless he gets some new Lounge Lizards to join his membership drive today, the music will stop this afternoon!

I am not one to make a lot of requests about joining, monies, etc... but Brad is one of the few out there playing this music and Michael in general. Joining, not only supports keeping this music on the air and the passion that Brad Chambers brings to this genre, but it keeps Michael's voice out there all over the world. No place else does this.

If you are able, please go on the website and click "join"..... It means so much to so many.

Hugs,
D

Hi D~
please update us and tell us what is the latest????
Is Brad going to be able to survive another year???..let's hope so- he plays great music and Buble all day!

But he does needs to face the fact- without change- there will be no growth in his audience ...it's time for MITM to-get- out- of- the- box!
without some major changes- he will always be chasing for more listeners....
He has the right formula for music l..just needs to go out and sell it!- so that people will buy!!!...he's got a fantastic product.....

How does he expect to survive?

The marketing dept. can only do so much--

just saying......

Lots of thoughts about what might/may/could/would be....

This music thing is a struggle at best. How does one keep "great" music playing on the airwaves? Never used to be a question..... Good quality music was what "everyone" listened to.

Today, I don't know how much "quality" there is in our "ears"..... Hope that makes sense. We seem to be numb to so much around us and so deeply entrenched in our daily lives and struggles. But, music lifts us out of wherever we are. It moves us and speaks to us.

I had an interesting experience today. A friend from the chat on Martiniinthemorning.com had listed an interview done in 5 parts on Youtube with Nelson Riddle, who I believe is the absolute best arranger of the 20th century..... It was such a wonderful enterview. I was moved, and informed and inspired..... because when they got to the discussion of Sinatra.... they overlayed a couple songs I haven'theard in "seems like" forever and I immediately found myself going to the request link and asking Brad to play them. Don't know if he has them... but he has quite a library and I may miss them, because one never knows when he will get to programming all the requests, but I was so moved by hearing just a snippet.

This is what music can do. Change our days and nights. Change our hearts and minds. Nothing else can do that.

So to all of you who haven't thought too much about this thread, I challenge you to really participate. Get involved... join, Martiniinthemorning.com and listen to not only great music that you may never have heard, but more MB than anyone plays, anywhere.

Hugs,
D

Want to add a sidenote here. For those of you who are familiar with Martiniinthemorning.com and our chat lounge, you will know there are terrific people chatting each day/evening. But, there is one thing we do (which is a bit juvenile, LOL) when a specific song is played.

Brad plays STUCK IN THE MIDDLE WITH YOU a few times during the week. Everything stops and we all run to our computer keyboards if we're working, busy at home, etc.... and it's a massive duet and dance. TURN UP YOUR SPEAKS, is my first command to everyone... and it turns into one big party.

Come on over and experience all the fun we have and maybe meeting some fabulous people, some of which are on the boards here and on the fan club site. We've been able to actually meet when travels take some of us places around the country. It's been great being able to actually spend time with people who love not only Michael's talent, but the music too.

Come on, jump in and join.

Hugs,
D

Lounge Lizards in Exile 2009 Membership Campaign

Greetings from Casa Martini! Just a quick reminder that, if you haven't already, I hope you'll join our Lounge Lizards in Exile group. Our membership campaign ends tomorrow (Friday, July 24). Our goal is to keep OUR MUSIC on the radio - Internet Radio now at http://MartiniInTheMorning.com - and as we grow, on broadcast radio stations across the country. At this point, we're not big enough to attract big-money advertisers or big investors (nor are we willing to play 15-20 minutes of commercials per hour like the big corporate radio stations!). So while we grow, we are completely listener supported. Your Premium Lounge Membership ($35 plus shipping/handling/tax) or Lush Lounge Membership ($75 plus shipping/handling/tax) will allow us to keep the music playing. If you've already joined this year, if you're doing a monthly support subscription, or some other form of financial support, please accept our deepest gratitude. I'm not smart enough to be able to distinguish between those who've joined and those who haven't. But it's critical we get the word out one last time for anyone who might still join in time to "Save Our Standards!" Next week, depending on the outcome of our campaign (how much money we raise), we'll have an email about something other than money. But for now, we've gotta pay the rent, streaming expenses, royalties and more, adding up to thousands of dollars each month. Thanks for your support of MartiniInTheMorning.com! Click here to join now, or visit our website for more information. And please, spread the word. YOU are our marketing department! Tell everyone, friends, family, even total strangers to tune in to The Greatest Songs Ever Written on MartiniInTheMorning.com!
Root us on, cross your fingers, say a prayer. We have a long way to go to meet our current financial obligations. But we've all worked too hard to stop now. We're talking about The Greatest Songs Ever Written. Together, we CAN keep the music playing. Sincerely, Posted Image

we?..more like Brad is not willing to - in any case- because of his decision NOT to play commercials may be one of the reasons he has had this problem since he launched his internet radio. I don't think that playing commericals would really ruin the quality of his programming.

I think he should reconsider this issue.
