Hi gals and guys.

I hope you don't think it's inappropriate to put this here, but I do think it could be an important prevention
of illness and aging in both men and women.

Maybe you all know about this, but I believe the info in the link below is not known by many people.
Of course, we hear a lot about osteoporosis and, for a long time, there was merely emphasis on
calcium. I'm amazed at the huge number of people (both women and men) who suffer from it.
I think that, if more people were made aware of this, the cases would be much less.

I consider myself fortunate that, at my age, my bone scan shows far better than normal--which shocked
my doctor. But, not only does silica prevent bone problems, it helps all parts of our body. It can prevent
a large number of diseases including arthritis because it has a healing effect on cartilage and joint
deterioration. Silica is also required by hair, skin, and nails to stay in good condition as well as to keep
bone, cartilage, tendons and artery walls healthy.

I started taking it after I had my cancer treatments after successful surgery on my right breast several
months ago. Most of my life I've taken many different supplements from health food stores but not
silica until now. It is, however, in most multivitamins. They call it silicon usually. The product I now
take is BioSil (a liquid--5 drops in 1/4 cup liquid 2 x per day). I can't taste it in the V-8 and apple juice
that I use. You may want to Google it.

Prior to the cancer in my right breast recently, it was necessary for me to stop taking most of my
supplements because of the cost of them. I'm thankful that I can now afford more and more of them
again. I wonder if I would not have had the breast cancer if I hadn't stopped the supplements plus
extra stress due to finances at the time. Who knows? However, Michael's music and
performances DID help my stress as it still does.

You may want to Google re silica to get more info on other sites. I found some of the following:
Some silica foods: cucumbers, green and red peppers, leafy green vegetables, oats, onions, rice,
whole grains, whole wheat and outer covering of potatoes.

Studies show that there are no known overdose, toxicity and cautions for silica.

It's wise to talk to a medical professional before taking it. (I'm not sure why but it may relate to
what medicine may be taken.) My doctor always wants a list of everything I take: supplements as
well as medicines.

One of the places says it can decrease vertigo, headaches, tinnitus (buzzing of ears).

Silica levels drop as people age, and it might be beneficial as an anti-aging component in diets.

PS-- I don't expect any responses to this, but I hope some people will find it interesting.
