Danny Gans was a comedian here in the U.S. and he unexpectedly passed away last week.

Maybe someone asked if Michael would come and perform in Las Vegas in Gans's place since they need to find a new show there now? I don't know that Michael would agree to do that for an extended period of time, though.

yeh, it's hard to imagine Michael tying up his schedule for an extended period of time when he's right in the heart of his career. He's so hot right now; I don't think he's going to do anything that would risk cooling things down.

That's really interesting news.
I always associated Vegas with retiring and more theatrical names (i.e. Celine Dion (kind of retiring); Cher, and I think Britney and Madonna were offered a similar kind of deal) the circus and Cirque de Sole. Bublé is still a fairly new artist - six years is a long time, but he still has so much more left to his career.

It would probably be nice to have a steady gig, but I think it's to early to keep our Bublé-man stuck in one place for too long. I'd be really interested, though, to hear what he has to say about the offer. Maybe (best case scenario) it could just be a temporary gig that could result in an amazing DVD/TV Special. Once again, he's still pretty new in the business (IMO), but I'd love to see a new PBS special.

No he's too busy recording a new cd the olympics are in Vancouver & he likes seeing his fans arounf the world.

Vegas isn't the Vegas of years ago it's where entertainers go when trhey have no place else to play.

Yes, I agree he could make mega-bucks here without having to travel the globe, his fans would come to him, but I think Michael's international career has way to go yet before it reaches this point. Could it be that maybe the suggestion is that he's possibly considering a 'one-off' performance there at some point???
