I'm sure that all the fans on here feel some special connection to Michael in their own way, besides, why would we be fans if we didn't? I just wanted to share my little story of connection and inspiration.

When I first heard Michael sing the song, "That's All" I fell in love with his voice and charisma. I was instantly hooked, since this type of music is my favorite. When I saw him sing that song, he wasn't very popular yet. I had discovered new talent that I wanted to follow. Yes I even waited at Walmart at Midnight to get his first cd (since that was the only place open at that time.)

I watched Michael work hard to achieve his goals and dreams. I went to his concert and was able to meet him afterwards. He was sitting on the bus with a small group of people around him and I thanked him for a wonderful evening and sharing his talents with the world. And even though it can seem cliche, he told me he appreciated all the fans have done for him so far, and that you should never give up on your dreams. He then signed my program and took a picture with me.

Needless to say, I saw him a few years later when he was starting to get big. He was to the point where you couldn't take pictures with him after the show. If you staked your claim BEFORE the event, you might be lucky to catch a snapshot of him and more than a brief moment. Anyway, I saw him after a show and told him that he keeps getting better and it's great to see someone grow in their dreams and acomplishments. He turned to look at me with a slight look of confusion. Wondering if I said something wrong, he then paused and said, "You look kinda familiar." Not knowing what to say I told him I was a fan, I had seen several shows, and that I had sent a copy of the picture of us to him about a month ago because he was too busy to meet with fans. He then paused, reached for his back pocket and took out his wallet to show me the picture I had sent him.

He said he appreciated the gratitude and the support of people while he was striving and making his life what he wanted to be. Reaching for the stars and acomplishing his dreams. I was beyond estatic knowing he actually took time to appreciate the small things.

But making a long story short, Michael has always helped me through life by way of his voice and his music. The muscians he works with are nothing short of amazing and he, himself, is a wonderful man. He inspired me through the good times and bad to acomplish my dreams and goals. And they are now slowing coming true.

For years I've been interested in photography, but only in the last 2 have I decided to make it my career. Through hard work and dedication on my own, I've created my own business and have started the slow climb to career path. I just wanted to share this story with anyone who feels like they can't do it. Don't give up, don't let others tell you you can't, and through it all, find inspiration. Find something that keeps you moving, even through the roughest of it all.

I thank Michael for his wonderful talent that he shares with the world and how his music has inspired me and has been my companion through the years and through some of the toughest times of my life. I would love to hear any stories of inspiration that you guys have because of Michael, his music, or his life. Thanks for your time!

I'm a little jaded and cynical, no longer quite believing that you can make of yourself whatever you wish, if only you believe..
