I was soooooo excited to see that they finally added a MB watch to the store! I love watches and I'd LOVE an MB watch. Needless to say, I was shocked when I clicked on it and discovered it was $110! I cannot afford (nor would I spend) that much money for a watch.

Why is it so expensive? They're rhinestones, not precious gems...and the strap may be genuine leather, but I have several watches with leather straps that didn't cost near as much.

Is anyone else totally bummed about this? Is there any hope of a less expensive MB watch being offered anytime soon (for those of us who spent all our money to actually see Michael in concert)?

o love watches and pay a lot of money for them..............
i think part of it is the pearl face, and then also the mechanism (or movement) of the watch--the better quality the movement, the better the timepiece.
(for expamle movado watches have a sweeping second hand; most watches have a ticking second hand- part of the movado cost!)

also it is stainless stell and rhinestone, that cand add up i guess, at least $40 or so for a regular stainless steel watch....

i guess if u like, you'll pay, and it did look nice, not like a cheesy fan watch (think mickey mouse style)

i doubt i will get it- unless it is gifted, only b/c i have a ton of watches (but love them!!)

as with all items to each their own...........(but hey will new puppy fit into dog coat??? LOL)

don know if i was of any help. but i did prompt me to look at it!!

Nice watch.. although I agree, it's a bit expensive. I also noticed a seed card pack in the store.

As much as we appreciate the MB merchandise, I seriously believe that us fans can think of better items that could be used to promote Michael - rather than seeds! I'm just sayin.... ;)

i totally agree- think they r missing the boat
also did u notice on main MB page the posted the greates news about the MSG DVD
then the new dog coat got posted; so now when u go to the main page the 1st topic u see is about the dog coat and i think top priority should be given to the MSG DVD, they just need to swap the placement.........

I agree. It does look nice. That's why I'm so bummed that I can't afford to spend that much money on it, LOL. I love watches, too. My hubby said maybe I could ask for it for my birthday. My birthday's not until September - hope it's still around then.

And I fully intend to get the dog shirt for my puppy! $18 I can do. So long as she doesn't eat it, LOL.

I guess they want Michael to "let it grow" and spread his seed to as many women as possible.

(Sorry. That was bad. :D )

Seriously, though...did anyone really think about this one and the jokes that could ensue as a result of it? Obviously not...

Yes, I agree the watch is too expensive and most of us will be saving our money for the new DVD, album and concert tickets. It looks like a really nice watch and I might consider buying it if they reduce the price in a few months time. Hopefully they will have to because otherwise they won't sell all the ones they've made.
I agree that the fans could come up with better ideas for new merchandise, a dog's jacket is verging on the ridiculous. I hate it when people try to dress up their pets! I think there should be some kind of book available, that doesn't mean Michael has to write an autobiography or anything, but it would be cool to have a book documenting his greatest moments, like photographs from live performances and him winning the Junos and stuff, and maybe some funny quotes. I think fans are more interested in buying merchandise that is more related to Michael, not just any old thing (like seeds?) that has the MB logo stamped on it.

I agree that it would be better to have more clothing available for, say, PEOPLE, with a better size range. I don't fit any of the shirts (I hear they run small, too) and so the only clothing I can order from the MB store are the hats and this watch if it wasn't so dang expensive. But my puppy is still getting the MB shirt, LOL. She's named after a Michael Buble song so I can get away with it. :D

I think a book would be a good idea. It seems like a lot of the merchandise is just random stuff with the logo stamped on it (the seeds, the dog shirt, the Christmas ornament, the journal, the water bottles, etc.) and it would be nice to have a little more variety. Even the watch, as nice as it looks, is just a watch with the MB logo on it. I bet you can find a similar watch without the logo for a lot less than $110. If they're going to market something like a watch and have it be that expensive, it would be nice to make it a little more unique, say with the CMI cover on the face of the watch or one of those musical ones where you press a button and it plays a Buble song.

I don't know if it's a heavy coat so much as a light fleece shirt. It may still be kind of warm for the summer months, though. But my dog will stay small so she can wear it whenever, LOL.

LMAO @ Sue!!

I stand my ground and say the best idea for merchandise is a white fluffy bathroom towel with Michael Buble embroided on it! Now that will sell like hotcakes!!

I have to say i totally agree with the general consensus...the merchandisers are seriously not playing to Michael's strengths or his appeal...especially amongst women!

We want fluffy towels...and ironing board covers...and martini glasses.
