Hi all....

Quite late...so my spelling is (was! -thank the lord for spell check!! whe hey!!) going to be appalling...so it will probably be day break by the time this post is coherent...actually I think that is a tad optimistic...am drunk as a skunk...Is that a slur on skunk kind????? Well just in case and because I'm not actually that bad,... no really,...I'm not!...(How would you know anyway your in cyber space!!) I would put me at slightly beyond merry, somewhat sozelled, yet coherent enough to be holding a non Xmas grudge against the husband for being .... ... .... ok, hence admitting the solzelled element and being on these boards, 'cause the husband is soundo in bed and I'm mildly annoyed because of something small but significant that he said / did , which now slips my mind but was really uncalled for / unnecessary / unChristmassey... oh yeah!! Clarity! He actually said in basic conversation that I'm just like my Father - who he really does not like(!!!) / hasn't spoken to for 2'nd a half years, and whom I of course love a very big lot.!!!!!!! see how many exclamation marks this incurs!!!!!!!!!! And this implied insult comes from the concept that (apparently!) I do not listen.... and not only did he state this was his opinion, but.. oh yeah, it gets worse... I should look around and think about how many other people I know who also think like this about me....As I genuinely do not know that many people, am truly self critical, I am now wondering where this comment comes from,...i.e. who else has said this in my pitifully small handful of aquaintances? ...s@#t! Nice, character assassination whilst I was merrily drinking sherry and wrapping Xmas pressies!!!!!!!! And we are taking red raffia bows and Austrian look hand made reindeer - DESPITE MY 3 JOBS, , PIANO LESSONS AND RECENT FLU!!!! Arse! Suffice it to say the Xmas vibe suffered a decided scratch in its vinyl this evening! Shortly after which he went to bed in an almighty huff - as I appeared to have taken offence to a comment that was apparently meant to help me see myself in a manner which would enable me to make positive changes....Hollocks!! I did explain about my spelling didn't I?????!....funny that....

Sooooooo. One or three sherry after a frosty goodnight.... I find myself attempting to regain my Xmas 'glow' though as BubleBunny mentioned, sherry is kinda warming, all on its ownsome!!!
So at the extreme risk of major embarrassment tomorrow I have utilized my time alone to take Allen's suggestion to heart and write MB an Xmas song....(you are so lucky you can not hear me sing it(!)...Ha, nearly choked on my sherry then... Pause while I gently meander across the house looking for a top up....

Xmas song.....'Christmas Kissin...' by me.. for MB to sing......

I've got Mistletoe, 'nd lots of snow,
But Honey, something's missin,...
Without you here, ...It's pretty clear,
There'll be no Christmas Kissin....

This Yuletide, I want you by my side,
But, you don't seem to listen,...
I've got the fantasy, and Christmas tree,
But still no Christmas Kissin.

Say you'll be mine, we'll drink to Christmas Time,
from now until we're old and Grey,...

All you have to do, is love me too,
and say your heart will never stray,....

Then come what may, On Christmas day,
There'll be nothing missin,

And I promise you, with a love so true, there'll be lots, and lots, of kissin!

Pick up the phone!, say your coming home!,
'Cause you know what you've been missin!,....

And with a love that's true,
For me and you, there'll be lots of Christmas kissin!!

.......................................................................

Stuff and nonsense, and lots of it, !!!! (And due to significant lack of enough words in song...lots of great instrumentals!!!HA!),

Caroline.
;)
P.s. You'll be glad to know I'm safely off to bed myself now, blown candles out ..so will live to fight another day....should probably delete this post for sake of personal cringe factor tomorrow...but the Husband particularly hates me to sing or write songs...and honestly I sound more mediocre than 'bad'!! - well that's my assessment of my singing anyway! But to him these are two of my more embarrassing traits... so, HA!! Hollocks! It stays....Big hug all C.x.

Caroline

Well done - I could hear Michael sing that song as I read the words !!

Nothing cringeworthy about it!!

thanks for your post - feel much more "normal" now!!!!

Glad the sherry provided well needed warmth after husbands "coldness" hope all is Merry again now!!! (I sure did miss alot in a couple of days away!)

Hi Bunny! - sorry! cannot help it, that's what I think instead of 'hi honey', everytime I see your Buble bunny handle! - I like it, it makes me smile.... of course the Husband laughingly asked if I've got involved with some kind of Buble version of the playboy bunnies (!!HA!!)- as he saw your pms come through, too slow with the minimise!!!! Fingers of fury required! He actually asked why I got rid of it when he came in... and oh so innocently ('cause he knows there's no way of this happening) asked if I'm having an affair! As the answer is actually, yes, albeit a very fun and innocent one...with the Buble sisterhood and MB as the focus,.... I could not admit to my involvement level as then he would look me up, read my posts, and after much appalled frostiness and 'discussions about' my bias in describing him (!) leave me, from shear unadulterated embarrassment at my uncensored self's comments all over the board!! Well maybe he wouldn't actually leave, not after 18 years, but couldn't take the risk of 'The return of Frosty the Husband' or the big budget film sequel...' The revenge of Frosty the Husband',!! So, instead, I opened your message and let him read it!! Thank God you really are normal!! - or at least as normal as I am .... (BIG SMILE)! Of course as usual your 'thanks for the post, feel much more normal now'.. has suggestive undertones.... you probably feel much more normal compared to me, rather than because of me!! (Giggling to ones self in lunch hour could be construed as a sackable offence in this office today, as with the current, unexploded bomb atmosphere here due to economic crisis, everyone is staring at me wondering why one of the bosses is grinning like a loon whilst typing up a storm and drinking red tea!! Tomorrow I may come in in 'comfy' clothes instead of my suit, big socks and a ponytail....HA!! a fantasy moment indeed, they'd have me carted off to where the walls are soft, wearing one of those oh so fetching white coats that fasten at the back, in no time flat!!) Ho hum, gotta laugh,...as the alternatives are no where near as Christmassy!!

Lunchtime here!!, so as I've chosen to forgo the usual oh so tasty, working lunch fare...(!) I get to play on the boards instead of eating.... 'And we'll all stay skinny 'cause we just wont eat' - Nickelback,... Not my usual taste in music, I bought the album for the Husband when it came out - he loves it, all the other tracks are too 'hardcore' for me, apparently....actually he's right, just don;t tell him I said so,... don't want to set an unhealthy precedent by admitting these things ..... but I like what I like, and this video and song are part of this eclectic mishmash that is my preferred music and therefore made it to my IPod! Great track! Video very funny and cool! - includes a playboy bunny reference too.... see where you send my mind girl!! Not a life style choice for me though - the not eating,... or the playboy bunny concept for that matter!! 'cause I love food, cooking food, eating food,... and the sole attention of a good looking man, money just doesn't do it for me!! I've only ever found it important when I haven't got any!! And anyway, I have no intention of ever dying my hair...I'm a brunette, then I'm going to silver on down to ... well something, like my Grandmothers, I hope!!!! She's where the dark jeans (ha! meant 'genes',... but as she never wore jeans in her life, thought I'd leave it in, more of a smart pair of slacks / a line skirt kinda Lady, my Nan)... come from, never really went grey, so... we'll see.

Anyway,... Hope you had a great break, did the ocean call? Keep forgetting how far away you are! A friend said the other week that she was going over to Australia for a wedding in January, and how lovely summer weddings are!... my brain just wouldn't accept she hadn't made a mistake, as the concept of summer in January, just short circuited it!!

Thanks for the thumbs up for the xmas lyrics,... ;) cannot get it out of my head until its finished,... mildly annoying, but then it always is until the tune works!! First time I've heard one in someone else's voice in my head, which is nice, much more melodic this way!! And yeah, all very merry again here,... I can not hold a grudge to save my life - 'cause life's way to short for that kinda nonsense!

Love and mistletoe,

Caroline.X.

P.s. am expecting small(!) 'discussion' next week though... - that's what we call them in our house!! HA! as we are going down South to his family to drop of Xmas pressies and his Dad plays in bands and has a mini studio etc. as he works with quite a few people in the music industry with his job,.... so whenever we go I get the mini lecture /pleading about singing....i.e. PLEEASSSEEE don't. I personally think there's some child hood trauma issues here, as neither he or his sister can sing a note, and both get really twitchy / embarrassed whenever there's a bit of a sing along....For the last few years I sit through the lecture, explain that it's unacceptable to make me feel I can not do something if I want to, irrespective of his opinion on how it sounds,...and then comply,(...usually), because by then its been made into too big a deal, and he's half convinced me I sound crap..... Only then there was Austria...and he didn't go, and the atmosphere and sense of personal freedom conned me into singing round the campfire... and I admitted I'd written five or six songs over the years,...sang a few on the promise it was an Austrian trip secret,... only when we got home, M, mischief maker that he undoubtedly is,...(he's where the Husband gets his incredible sense of humour from, funny husband loves to make me laugh!...) stirred the pot by telling the husband he was impressed and is going to record them when we came down for Xmas! ...MMMnnnn, I think I am going to pull the festive disappearing act - i.e. with sherry, to get out of this one!! .

Hi Buble bunny-girls and Allen!

Loving this thread, thought i'd start off the limericks.

There was a young man from Vancouver,
Who's lips made him kiss like hoover,
With his tortoiseshell eyes,
Our love's hard to disguise,
And his voice just gets smoother and smoother!

Phew...managed to keep it clean! Although admittedly it's hard to find something dirty to rhyme with Vancouver!

On another point...songs that remind me of 'The Buble'...Betcha By Golly Wow (The Stylistics)

There's a spark of magic in your eyes,
Candyland appears each time you smile,
Never thought that fairytales come true,
But they come true when I'm near you,
You're a genie in disguise
Full of wonder and surprise
And betcha by golly wow,
You're the one that i've been waiting for forever

I won't even start on the lyrics to 'Turn Off the Lights' (Teddy Pendergrass) the cyber police will put an APB out on me!

Love
Caroline (yes, another one!)

Hello, Caroline,....

Ha! This is weird, obviously not just 'cause we are named after one another(!!) ;) but because I feel the need to say that this is not me feeding hungry, greedy topic, by pretending to be someone else also called Caroline,......I swear!! - as that would be weird! and actually quite hard to do!! I know this because when I was pondering 'cheating' strategy and 'cheating strategy -the spin off's, when greedy lonely topic looked all woe begotten, and unloved.... I momentarily considered logging in with work email and a new member name so I could reply to myself if no one else did,... I know,.... pause, caused by awe inspiring weirdness!! 'Nth' degree problem projection / solving gone mad, I blame it on my job / life....(I may also have a powerful Macevalion streak,... which I keep under wraps,...usually, ...who knows?!!!) but... although it would have worked, I had a horrible feeling this was taking talking to myself too far,.... slipping the line between eccentric and ,... well, mad as pants.... so I didn't,...honest,....!

Anyway, moving not all that swiftly on,.... loved the limerick!! Will check out the track as well! The words sound great, spot on, hope the melody sounds as I expect it to!!! Looking forward to hearing it tomorrow. Fangs Hon.

Vancouver, mmmnnnn,... rhymes with,.... how about,...

About this young man from Vancouver,...
Good God, this guy can manoeuvre !
He is funky and cool,
He's nobodies fool,
And now he's our favorite crooner,...

................................................................................
.............

Mmmnnn MB. He's kinda all Christmassy irrespective of the time of year,... I'm thinking,...

His style and his grace, its there in his face,
and his eyes are wickedly flashing,...
He's really quite hot,
An Angel, he's not!
But nobody doubts that he's smashing!!

Love 'nd everything that matters,

Caroline.X Fangs for the hello, lovely to see folk, old and new, enjoying this thread. Big smile.X.

p.s. Can hear the cyber polce sirens as I type,.... MB and 'Turn out the lights,'... (?) yeah,.... I can see this ,...mm nnn hummm, no need for lyrics, got the technicolor picture!! FANGS, again!!

One strange duck,.... you know, I guess I am  ,...and the proof, for me, is the fact that I started giggling heartily when I read that from you, and am inordinately pleased at what is definitely the best compliment I've received in an age! Love you too. And I mean that. It's a word I don't use much, but which I've used quite noticeably on these boards to the lovely people here and about MB recently. Prior to this I've always used it sparingly,...don't want to wear out its 'specialness',... still don't, even to the point of spending an age yesterday trying to work out a 'not too obvious' alternative in Xmas cards and pressie tags for people I don't love,.. but like quite a lot!!

OOh paranoia just kicked in,...what if you meant English Caroline in London, who just joined the topic, rather than, English Caroline living in Wales,...... man how embarrassing would that be... as I happily respond,....cringe,...HA!

Well, whether you love me or not, I do love you, 'cause I still giggle over the reply you made an age back, to Buble versus some 'incredibly pale' skater dude.....Ha!! I have a weird memory, which among other things got me through my degree, and makes me as big a useless info sponge as you!! But its great if we sit down to a film half way through,... if I've seen it at some point from age 10 - 35, I can tell you exactly who's who and what we've 'missed'!!

Anyway, anyone who can wield the word whorled with the stylistic skill of a geisha,... is my kinda girl,....

Love and nonsense, which will keep coming,...no choice really, 'tiz the worst and best of me!! (so come on take the rest of me, Oh baby)! - did ya see the smooooottthhh, lyrical link at the end, Ha! wow, what a smug, happy greedy little topic,.... have we created a monster?,...or has it created us,...mmmnnnn.

CX.
P.s. G'night, 1.45 am, jeez, 5 hrs to sleep, groan, again!!Am I in fact funkily weird, or just sleep deprived?,...If slept more would I lose my badge of valour, my 'strange duck' medal of honour,...? Naaarrrh, I rememebr sleeping a good 8 hrs a while back, and according to the Husband, that was worse, cause I had more weird bounce to my step and energy to feed my interests,.... He said it's exhausting like having a child who's drunk too much red fizzy pop,...its an e number thing,..., but in my case I don't have this excuse!!! Big hug, C.X

Aww, Caroline from Wales, I love you too! I'm glad you don't throw out the word "love" the way people throw out paper towels. It does lose it's meaning when it's like Steve Carrell's character in "Anchorman" (if you've ever seen it.) Quote: "I love lamp."

At any rate, I do feel a kinship with you and the others on this thread, which is so strange and wonderful. Much like ourselves!! And I really appreciate your stream-of-conciousness posts. They offer great insight into a beautiful mind. :P

Good night!

PS Do you pronounce it "Carol-line" or "Carol-lynn"? When I read your posts in my/your clipped British accent I must have it right. ;)

PPS I think your sleep-deprivation is due to Buble. Blame him for it. I do. That ######. KIDDING!!!

Mornin,

gotta rush,

off to the Midlands for work, the bad news is 3 hrs driving there in crappity weather, work till 5pm then 3 hrs driving home!! Groan, no wonder my 'stream of consciousness' is a tangled net of a thing!!...the good news is full on Buble all the way!! Hurrah!! With a touch of Bettye LaVette, 'nd I'm in the mood for a little Ann Peebles,.... oh! already the day is a tad lighter!! Hope today's going to be kind to you,

Caro-line (HA!) ;) , Of course my accent is kinda like me, ...posh when it wants /needs to be, otherwise, mostly softer, earthier, with all the sharp edges ground off over the years!!! - In a good way!! I'm from middle England originally - A midlander without the often broad dialect! Of course for you, and hotel management around the world, I'll clip it for all my might, and then you can cut glass (pronounced Glarse!!) with it!!

Strangely wonderful folk around here indeed!! Big hug kin,.... as to I love lamp,...so hard now not to use the word to say how much I lo....like that film!!! SOOOO funny, ..'LOUD NOISES'....!!!

leading us neatly on to why we are sleep deprived due to Buble,....

'Sky rockets in flight, afternoon delight,....' harmonies necessary!!

(or any othertime,....) ok big blushes, and won't be needing my coat on in the car now!!

This is why my 'beautiful' mind is really such a, (happily!), smutty, cram jammed full, hazmaz of a thing!!

Love and all the best bits of everything,

Caroline.X.

Happy day dreams (or night ones depending on where you are in the world?) of the MB!

Bunny here - Hi!!! Loved the "HI BUNNY" (had big chuckle to self)

Have only started recently thinking of self in bunny costume (must be all references to Bridget Jones) am considering it as next entertainment venture on next MB tour!!!(Mrs JOnes T on last one! was a BIG hit!!) (hopefully all the fun police who hate "attention seekers" ( I say vivacious, party types) will not even be reading this thread to "tsk, tsk " me under their cyber breath!!!!
THe name just sprang out of nowhere while I was trying to be clever with the letter "B" - quite liked the thought of being a bunny... in another world ... so it was perfect for this kind of imaginary/real/escape from the everyday!

Anyway must say I LOVED (that word again!) the limericks! so clever you girls...

Also LOVED the reference to "sky rockets in flight.." great song - actually played it to husband on you tube not so long ago ...

Caroline ( I was saying it correctly in my head - yay! thanks Susie for the question!)
Very brave of you to introduce husband to" very difficult to understand world of the boards".
I meant normal in the first way like "yay someone else is the same as me!" not your latter Normal

I keep my little habit on here all to myself... my own "me " space and time! (was just interrupted by child out of bed) ... now another... damn... daylight savings....
As I was saying would not consider introducing lovely but very paranoid husband to boards even though faced with serious questions the other week about copious amounts of time spent on internet... and questions about possibility of affair on internet .... pleeeaase.... just wouldn't get it! Am totally devoted and happy (with husband!!) - though husband thinks hate life and am escaping reality (well, maybe a little bit of escaping - cheaper than a holiday!)
so big chuckle here when reading about english husbands suspiscions

Onto to lyrics that describe MB and the whole experience did I mention... ?

Marvin Gaye "Let's get it on" ? Love that song... that's the kind of feeling I get Listening to MB sing...

Not so much the lyrics but the whole package - bit like MB!!!

I find it hard to transfer other artists lyrics to MB - maybe i am too in the MB zone - or alot of the music i listen to, that I have been looking at on CD's is about loss... I sure don't feel that listening to Michael. Am enjoying looking up other people's suggestions and hearing some different artists! keep them coming

Dishes call, so does present wrapping for teachers, etc etc, what do they say "you can run but you can't hide!"

Bunny kisses to you all from the sunny southern hemisphere...

Hi Bunny,

I happen to think that Bunny Girl costumes would be a boob-a-licious idea for next MB concert tour! Why do the fun police turn up and 'tsk, tsk' at MB concerts...his sense of fun is legendary? Only this past summer at the O2 I was unfortunate enough to sit next to a 'Detective Inspector' she was so critical of everyone around her...god forbid if anyone had the temerity to...dance/sing along!!!!

I, like you Bunny, keep my habit a secret from the 'paranoid husband' (i can give it up anytime...yeah right!) Probably as a result of a conversation that we had a long while ago regarding a hypothetical, "So, if you could...with anyone...for one night only...who would it be?" No prizes for guessing who i chose! Hubby never quite got over it...but as i always say if you don't wanna know the answer don't ask the question! Bless him!

Anyway, lyrics...like where you coming from re 'lets get it on' although I probably would have gone with Marvin Gaye's 'Sexual Healing'...but that's just the naughty minx that 'The Buble' brings out in me!

Bunnies and minxes...it's like a petting zoo in here!

Minx kisses to all from a freezing London x

Back to the limericks:

There once was a guy called Mike Buble,
Who went out on tour to East Bombay,
There he met a guru,
Ate too much vindaloo,
And said, "Thank God grandpa put in a bidet! (yes i know it's tenuous...buble...bidet.. bear with me!)

There was a good looker called Buble,
Who hosted a candlelit soiree,
When he sang 'Everything',
He had 'The world on a string',
But 'Lost' his microphone under the duvet!

Oh please a new world has just opened up for me...greeting cards here I come...who said "Don't give up your day job?"

lots of love

I laughed so hard I snorted!!! That's really great!!! Michael can lose his microphone under my duvet any day. ;) I'm sure my husband won't be too pleased but he accepts my "Buble thingy" as I call it. *ahem* It's only fair, he has a "thingy" for certain actresses. [/size]

Hi Susie,

I'd certainly offer to help him find his microphone under the duvet...mmmm, back to afternoon delights methinks! I shall henceforth refer to my obsession with 'the buble' as my 'thingy'. Love it...LOL

It sounds so much more benign than "attraction" or "obsession" or "sad, pathetic fantasy." Don't you agree?? LOL!!! All in good fun.

Careful Caroline ... a little ditty like that one may just inspire women around the world to shake off the shackles of secretive, midnight posting and proudly proclaim their admiration/obsession/thingy/whatever for "the boob" (to quote Rove) to the husbands of the world . I can feel a revolution coming on...... Anyone want to join me??

Thought not... it's much more fun this way!
oh husband just yelled something and my blood ran cold- feel like I am cheating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so wrapped up in my post .
