Thanks Bobby D!

Just read the article....and thought to myself, that's a dammn good article!!

I found it really interesting, funny, endearing and entertaining...and my response to it quite surreal!! so I thought I'd share that with you hear....just because I find it happily odd!
Having read the article I was again brightened by glimpsing Michael's multi faceted personality. He comes across as sweet, (bet he just loves it(!), when people say that!!), intelligent, funny and sexy. A slightly broody, would be bad boy, with the heart of 'the boy next door who turns out to be the love of your life'. He's articulate and clever. Makes fun of himself, so it feels ok when he makes fun of anything. The kinda guy that .....ok yeah, I almost forgot, married, happily, married, happily, married...it a handy mantra to keep one from becoming too effusive!! I don't want a jealous husband banning me from Buble concerts!! After all these years, that could be grounds for divorce...... I think I have a favorite quote to share now on the 'favorite quote thread' on these boards!!

''ARE YOU A MAMMA'S BOY?'' - interviewer,
''Sure I am a mamma's boy. I am a mamma's boy who will knock your teeth out if you piss me off.''- MB.

.........I guess that's what you call a 'manly man' showing his sensitive side in a humorously manly man kinda way!!!!! Mmmmnnnnnn nice!
This man has a stomach clenching, seriously hot turn of phrase. Singing or speaking, you get two versions of a man who is quite jaw droppingly stunning in how he communicates. I am way to old to have my head turned by a celebrity....but, good grief !! I am starting to get quite addicted to the man. If he was a drug he would definitely be a banned substance as addiction appears to be almost universal upon very little exposure!!!! A handful of cd's, a couple of DVD's and one concert, and yet he's become an actual part of my day!! Buble on my IPod each day on the drive to work...soothing the start of the day. Buble big band quickening my pace and making me smile like a loon each day as I walk to the post office or to get lunch. Even Buble at the Gym!! No, not the romantic stuff as you forget where to breathe and the workout slows down dramatically!! But Feeling good, It had better be tonight, Can't buy me love and especially 'Crazy Little Thing called love'...well lets just say they seriously get you to go that extra mile!!! So, how does a guy, granted a very talented singer, get you to sit and read about his Christmas morning with the kind of personally connected fascination I just did? Why do I have a strangely happy smile on my face picturing all these people, that I do not know!, having a truly wonderful sounding Christmas?. Why do I really hope with my heart that they always have each other this way? And that this year the Christmas decorators get stuck in a picturesque snow drift - after his entire family arrive for Christmas- so the decorating of the house gets done in the wobbly step ladder, family laughter filled manner of my old memories!! Why at the thought of MB's possible new romance did I feel,( and, of course, instantly suppressed !), a sharp little flick of jealousy?Swiftly followed I hasten to add by a positive rush of hope and happy feelings for him 'finding' life's holy grail - Lasting Love. Why, if I had the choice, would I happily leave good old Blighty and emigrate to Vancouver? In short why do I care so much about what this stranger has to say? I still find it strange being a 'fan'....never been one before. 35 years old, and although I have liked and admired several performances / performers over the years, I can honestly say I have never even come close to caring about them as people. Until, that is, Michael Buble.

Have I gone slightly mad? Am I getting obsessed?. ...Happily the answer is no! I don't think so.... I am just like millions of other fans out there who have 'found' sincere pleasure in the man as well as the music.
Happily I don't think MB is in the habit of spending his preciously short spare time reading these messages, (as that would be a tad embarrassing for my self conscious, 'proper' English soul! because you just don't tell people you don't know how you feel....in fact you don't often tell people you know, how you feel!!!!!) Maybe that's another reason in this isolationist world in which we live that connecting to this charming stranger is so incredibley easy. His approachable charm and charisma, when coupled to his stage talents, are quite delicious - and totally harmless as we really don't know him! But I hope he gets the vibe. In short, I hope he knows that he doesn't need to stress too much about the performance, if he enjoys it, we enjoy it. He's looked a tad unhappy in a couple of clips when he's been performing recently. I hope sincerely this goes away again - for his sake not ours, as its still a damn good show.

Have a very lovely Christmas. Be happy MB, our 'stranger friend'.
With love, Caroline.

Bobby D, Great interview thanks for posting..... love reading it...very insightful. I have many things to be thankful for tonight, my family, Michael being part of my life, all of you on both boards, and after the death of a dear friend this morning who's younger than I am, our kids have grown up together, (a short battle with cancer)...being alive is a blessing you all hug your family and Happy Thanksgiving to all.....

Just a quick note....yeah really!! I know my posts can get a bit long....

Anyway to Swooninggranny, glad you liked my post! One thing we all share on this board is exceptionally great taste in men...well, one man,... irrespective of our ages!! ...and of course fabulous taste in music!!

Redsoxgal so sorry for the heartbreak in your post. If you can, easier said than done I know(!), celebrate your friends life as you celebrate your Thanksgiving. I am sure she is smiling down on you. Always alive in our memories they do not leave us. Glad the battle was short - sorry she did not win, no more pain now.

Happy Thanksgiving to all - hope you are surrounded by love from family and friends, past present and future, love is all we have.

Caroline.

Caroline

You wrote an amazing post "from the heart". As I read your post I was smiling and nodding, for I too felt the same things you did whilst reading the article!

It is truly incredible the influence this amazing man has had, and continues to have over people across the globe. He is a real gem. I am a year younger than you and a year older than Michael. I wondered the other day while listening to him in the car where he was at in his personal journey. So it was interesting to read the article, the 30's are often a time when you start to look deeper at yourself and at life. I wish him peace inside and true love.

Thanks Caroline for sharing your thoughts!

And thanks for the article - very enjoyable!!!

Thanks Bublebunny!!

I have had some lovely responses from this post...Glad we all feel the same, and lovely to hear from you all. I sometimes feel a bit odd about how much pleasure I am getting out of being a MB 'fan'...even to the point that I've started minimising the Buble board page when my husband comes into the room!! It's like having a secret, unrequited teenage love affair with a guy at school you never end up going out with, but whom you will never forget!! (Mine was called..SB and he was a true and lasting love, and eventually a 'best' friend,....sigh, 'nd a soft smile!) So I thought I'd write out my feelings to ensure I was not as crazy as my friends and family would undoubtedly think me if they knew the full extent of my fascination......At home I manage to contain myself to putting one or other Cd's on the stereo occasionally, and going on the boards at night, secretly when the house is asleep.....

Yes, its all very strange...and quite delicious!! My husband asked me after the Cardiff concert in July if I thought MB was good looking. It was said in a very, very innocent tone of voice, as though it had no significance to him and was merely a conversational gambit...of course alarm bells immediately rang....and I somehow managed to keep the instinctive, 'he's gorgeous!' behind my teeth...I put this gargantuan diplomatic success down to having divorced sisters, parents on their second marriages - granted very happily(!), and a Grandmother who somehow managed to stay married to my Grandfather for 60 years, until they died. Thanks Nan!! I did feel a tad sneaky when I elaborated with 'mmmnnn? oh, 'spose....I was too busy enjoying the music to notice...and the band were incredible!...' All true except the not noticing MB....I'm married not dead! and I reckon you'd have to be a nun...and deceased!!, not to notice MB!!

As my Nan used to say....'if you could bottle that, you'd make a fortune!!'

So, thanks for letting me know we all feel the same!!

Bestest wishes,

Caroline.

Hi Caroline - my name is Karen and I'm also in the UK! I am a NEWBIE to this board (so please bear with me as I'm new to using messageboards + please forgive me if I've posted incorrectly, I may need some help with this)!! Just wanted to say I enjoyed reading your post as it explains Michael v.well. He is loved dearly by us all - but I also noticed that he did not seem his usual cheery self during some of his performances. This is my first posting so I'm v.nervous about it, as my husband has become quite troubled by my interest in all things "Buble" - I too play his songs most days and have been to 3 of his concerts and was totally in awe of him!! My postings will get better once I know what I'm doing!! It was a pleasure reading your post!

Hi Karen!!

Thanks for the post - as its your first post I am honoured to be its recipient!!!!! Believe me, it gets much easier...though I still put my picture at the end of each post because I do not know how or where else to put it!!!! Troubled Husbands.....a new common link? after all the trouble we go to keep them 'un' troubled, it appears the Buble phenomenon is a guilty pleasure which must go somewhat underground to avoid scrutiny and bemused censure!!!!!! (They really should know better!) as I wrote to a new friend on these boards earlier today, joy is such a fleeting, transient thing, that we must all find it wherever we can. In a laugh, in a song, in the light on the sea....In our heartfelt regard for MB.

Anyhew, I have really enjoyed this thread...I currently have flu....or a very nasty head cold! according to my husband...(Feels like flu...but sympathy is not exactly gushing this end!!) crawling in and out of work when no one is there so they don't catch it. Which has enabled me to enjoy the boards during the day for once! There done it!!...found the silver lining to feeling so rough! ha!, knew there was something good to be said for feeling like this!!

Cyber hug - (to avoid spreading cold (flu?) germs),

Caroline!

Hello again, hope you're feeling better soon (excuse my humour, but I think you got "The Fever" and a good dose of Buble Tonic is needed to see you through!!! Get your music on and enjoy the 'guilty pleasure'........

Caroline.
