I liked that kind of music so much, in fact, that I never listened to contemporary music. What I did hear of it from being around my friends, I didn't like. I didn't pay any attention to new artists and songs. Of course, sometimes a group or artist is all over the media and so you hear about them (for example, Britney Spears, N'sync), but I never made it a point to listen to any of them myself. And if they weren't always in the news or someone that everyone around me talked about, I wouldn't know they existed. So whenever Michael first came on the scene, I was completely oblivious to him.
When Michael came to Albuquerque in October of 2006, I still didn't know who he was. I don't know if I even remember hearing that he was coming but if I did, I paid no attention to it since I hadn't heard of him. I would have just assumed he was another contemporary artist I wouldn't like. After I became a fan and joined Bungalow B, I learned that he had been here and was kicking myself until he came back again this year. Looking back, I remember seeing him in that Starbucks commercial, too. But since I don't drink coffee, I didn't really pay attention to it. I think I assumed he was just some cute actor they hired for the ad. I didn't know that he was a real singer or even if that was actually him singing in the commercial.
On November 1, 2006 (I have no idea why I remember the exact date, but I do), a new shopping center opened in Albuquerque and my husband and I went to check it out. One of the new stores was an Apple store. We went in and I was looking at one of the iPods they had on display. When I picked it up and went to view the song list, Michael's version of "Moondance" started playing. I listened to it for a minute and I decided that I liked it. It sounded like a classic song, but who was this person with this fabulous voice that was singing it? I checked the artist name on the iPod screen - Michael Buble. When I got home, I went online and looked him up, and ended up buying a few albums on ITunes that night.
I now consider him to be my absolute favorite singer. There is just something about his music that gets to me. I love his interpretations of the classic songs, but I find myself loving his original songs, too.

I can't even remember who the interview was with or what song he sang. The important thing was that this young man made a lasting impression on me. There was something very striking about him that I really can't explain. His love for his family and the passion he had for his music, really struck me as very special. I vowed at that moment to follow his career and tell as many people as I could about him. There has always been something in his voice and that special spark in his eyes that reaches out to whomever he comes in contact with. The determination and sacrifices that Michael has made to make his dream come true is very commendable. As a elementary Music teacher, young people growing up today need more entertainers like Michael to look up to. Thanks Michael for keeping a beautiful art form alive and sharing your beautiful spirit with all of us. Kudos again, Michael. Katie from WA St.

Then I bought the first self titled CD and saw the pictures I was blown away by how gorgeous he is as well as the fact that he sings like he does.
Even all my family and friends love it now and sing along.
He has an amazing talent and I for one feel very glad that he chooses to share it with us all.
