Yeah! It's a good book, isn't it? I read it at school as part of a book study. I must admit I hated it to start with but at the end I really enjoyed it.
I love 'The Lucy Family Alphabet' by Judith Lucy. Fantastic book, hilarious! I like reading factual books and biographies - Bright Lights, Dark Shadows by Carl Magnus Palm about ABBA was a good read too.

Other favorites:
Belong to Me by Marisa de los Santos - A young couple leaves NYC for a suburb to start a family. The story doesn't sound exciting, but the characters and dialog are terrific. I couldn't put it down.
Literacy and Longing in LA by Jennifer Kaufman and Karen Mack - A woman who finds herself in an emotional crisis finds her solace in books and identifies with the characters. Very well done.
The True and Outstanding Adventures of the Hunt Sisters by Elisabeth Robinson- Two very different sisters - one married with a family and the other trying to make it as a Hollywood producer when one of the sisters becomes terminally ill. LOVED the characters.
Special Topics in Calamity Physics by Marisha Pessl - Very different. College professor who moves frequently with his daughter promises to stay in one place for her senior year. Strange things happen and she solves a mystery, but the ending is not happy. Each chapter is named after a book.
The Department of Lost and Found by Allison Winn Scotch - Young woman in New York with breast cancer. Her boyfriend dumps her and she finds solace in love from family and friends new and old. Sounds depressing, but it is really uplifting.
The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud by Ben Sherwood - Cute and spooky. Charlie communicates with ghosts. Surprise ending.
Janet Evanovich's Stephany Plum series - love to listen to these. Quirky, great accents.
J.D. Robb's In Death series - I just LOVE Eve Dallas and Rourke. Takes pace in NYC in 20059. Fun to see how things might be in the future.

"When the Power of Love overcomes the Love of Power, The world willknow peace" - Jimi Hendrix

Agreed Nickivanb! April 2008!!!!!!The Time travelers wife' is a damn good book! read it a few years back. Love the descriptive eloquence of the narrative,. clean and imaginative. Gloriously strange premise....truly fun and emotive.
currently reading Neale Donald Walsh, 'Conversations with God.' suspend disbelief as though reading a novel...and the rest as they say is a joy.....life altering, if you want your life to be altered....alternatively a lovely read.
Walsh and Eckhart Tolle - 'The Power of Now,' could be 'brothers by another mother' if you know what I mean!!!!. Kindred spirits....or simply related through truth....Its only the style of the narrative that's fundamentally different for these two authors...the message is very similar....LOVE, NOW, FOR ALL THINGS, if one word had to be used to sum the basis of the message of these two authors collective works up it would be 'inclusion'....at least for me.
Caroline....whose life continues to be altered by these books....
