I came home to read your posts as usual... it's always so nice to hear from you... the best thing of all is to find diversity here, to learn from it and to respect that... we may be so different but so similar at times... and that amazes me... all this thinking came to me after reading the last posts.... Ladies, What a dilemma I'm going through at this moment.....My husband and I and our golf buddies
have planned a trip to Palm Springs for a New Year Holiday. It is risky I know, four couples staying
together for a week of sunshine and golf.....Sounded so simple when we planned this last January.
I had no idea how complicated it would become.

I found the house, made the reservations and collected all the monies........Paid the rent and now....
just 4 days after paying the bill......There is decent among the troops. One couple now says, they are
not sure we can successfully spend a week together.......I want to throw in the towel, my husband
thinks we can talk it out and have a successful trip. The husband of the couple who wants to with-
draw, says he WILL NOT go, we can talk, but he is done!

The problem is, we need all four couples to afford the house. Four bedrooms with 4 and half baths,
too expensive for three couples very affordable with four.

I just had to vent, I know this 'little' problem doesn't compare to the health issues for some of
you. I'm sorry to sound like a complainer.......It will work out, it's just so frustrating!

Johanna,Loretta,Carmen Bori & Diane & anyone I may have missed out, thank you for thinking about my Dad & me.I have an all male household & altho they are very loving, they don't seem to have the same insight that women do. They expect me to carry on in the same old way & just "get on " with things. Well ,of course, I do, but a woman knows how we cry inside even tho we may smile on the outside.

I have just started a 6 week part-time course on digital photography so maybe I'll be able to share photos with you, eventually! I didn't really feel like going, but am so glad I did. I met some lovely people & even managed to learn a little bit.

PAM, you do NOT sound like a complainer. I can imagine how frustrating that must be. Anything
relating to wasting money is important, especially these days! I was wondering what you might
think about spreading the word about this somehow to other people who might be interested in taking
advantage of that. You may not feel comfortable to risk it with strangers--but then it could work out
well.

I know, PAM, you do not need my suggestions but I just thought I'd mention it. I hope it all works
out well. At least I think you still have a pretty good amount of time to take care of it (unless there's

Thank you for your loving thoughts. I really appreciate it! Oh yes, haha, it amazes me when I see
how young many of the doctors are. I even had two younger men on the morning of leaving the
hospital who were an RN and LPN who were assigned to take care of me. They were fabulous!
They were extremely concerned about doing things right, BUT like you, they had a great sense
of humor and had me laughing a lot in interchanges with them. That was so special. The nurse,
Tom, even held my hand sitting beside my bed after having changed my bandage. That was so
sweet.

EVERYONE HERE PLEASE HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK THAT YOU DESERVE!

Hello everyone.
Its such a joy to log on to this thread. Thank you Loretta, Johanna & Carmen for yr lovely messages. Diane, what gorgeous babies, you are soooo lucky. My 2 sons aren't showing any signs of being broody. I have to get my cuddles & kisses from the Mum & Toddler group that I run. We call it "Squeals on Wheels" & it certainly is that!
Thank you for asking about my Dad. He is fine at the moment. I know that we're at the beginning of a long road, but everything is calm just now. More tests are scheduled for later in the month & then hopefully treatment will follow.
I drove over to his house today, & often the scenery is wonderful,(see photo) but today the fog was really thick. It was like driving thro cotton wool. Fortunately I know the road really well & I had Michael for company. I can't wait for his new cd. I've got his Christmas songs on the player in my car at the moment. I thought a bit of Christmas spirit was necessary. His warm, rich voice keeps me going.

Hello everyone. Happy Guy Fawkes Day!

I expect you know that we celebrate a special day every year at this time. Its in honour of Guy & his friends who tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament. Yes , I know, we really are that desperate to find something to celebrate!

Tonight there will be bonfires everywhere(Hello! Global warming!) & lots of fireworks, which I love. The children will hold sparklers & we'll have hot soup, jacket potatoes, sausages & parkin, which is like a gingerbread cake.
Maybe you'd all like to come along. We have enough to go round.You'd have fun, but wrap up warm, cos its cold here!

I tried to put in some photos, but they are all too big to be uploaded. Maybe I'll learn how to reduce them while I'm on my course.

Thank you Mary, for your good thoughts, I'll pass them on to my dad. I wish I was as good as you are on the computer.

surgeon, and I felt very cheerful on my drive home--enjoying the many colored trees now
with the sun shining! I was giving a prayer of thanks for it all.

LORETTA, thank you sooo much for letting us know that you found IRENE. Yes, IRENE, much
love is going your way!!! LORETTA, we're hoping that you'll be much better with each day.
Much love is coming your way, too. I hope you both know that.

Thank you for your words about sunshine. They really rang a bell with me. As I mentioned
above, my drive home from the doctor was filled with the beauty of it.

I'm sorry you had to drive in the fog the other day. It's real scary, isn't it--but the many times I
had to do it in one of my jobs, I just prayed, and I think God really helps us through it. I love
that photo you put on of the scenery on that drive! It's beautiful. You know, it looks very much
like parts of where I live.

Too, very interesting to hear about the Guy Fawkes Day. I hope you had lots of fun.

Oh yes, I think I'll start playing MICHAEL'S Christmas music now too. It's sooooo beautiful!

MARY, thank you for the good wishes. I'm doing very well, I think. The doctor told me
yesterday that they got all the cancer. Now I merely have to get a little radiation for 5 days
a week for 6 1/2 weeks. He also said that he'd schedule me in a couple months with their
plastic surgeon for reconstruction. I'm sure that will all turn out for the best.

Thank you again, MARY, for everything! I hope all is good with you! I'm really looking forward
to hearing about your concerts coming up!!!!! (along with so many others of us.)

Yesterday, like in many other countries, Mexico had the look in USA .... all waiting for the result of the elections for the next president ..... until about 7 p.m. ..... a plane learjet collapsed in one of the zones most travelled as it is the Perfiérico, in the Cd. Of Mexico.

In this accident 14 persons lost the life up to this moment ..... among them, 8 persons belonging to the Presidency of the Republic ..... one of them, Juan Camilo Mouriño (secretary of Government), a very young politician, with excellent intelligence and with the dream of many of us: to construct a better world, a better country. It had only 37 years of age and was a father of 3 small children.

Your name is most emphasized due to the important position that it was playing but also other victims are important persons for each of the families that lost them tragically in the accident.

At this moment and in spite of the "official" information I believe that many of us we have our own argument of the happened.

Alone I can think that my country for moments, loses the force, the passion, the color and the heart that great another times, it characterizes us as village.

Only I can pray because the times of change are strong ..... and often, they represent sacrifice and not only it hope.
