Johanne,
What an incredible, rewarding career you have! How fortunate those families are to have you to direct and guide them! I travel a lot too.. I have been off working - so to answer your question, that is where I have been. I haven't posted much because I enjoy reading the threads and watching the the activity on the board. I lurked on the board for nearly a year before signing up, I finally did so after I realized how often I frequented the site!
My job is not as honorable,Johanne, I sell pharmaceuticals, and I feel that I don't fit in much of the time. So I applaude your work and I am not surprised that you would have chosen such an impactful and fostering career!
Good luck in all you do and the lives you impact!

To my sweet Blossom.....And Amber always..

I have missed you big time....I have
looked and looked for that beautiful pink budding Bloom.....And it was nowhere.....I hope
you will be around this time for more than a
second......

Thanks for referring to my post....When
I read the article it caught my attention....
It was about the importance of words....It said
words well chosen can make the difference between War and Peace.....

It can make a difference between a diplomatic conversation and a challenge to war.
And I thought...I love that.....

And then it said without words....Our thoughts would be forever trapped in our heads..
holding us prisoner....And we would never be able to connect with other fellow humans.....

With just the right words we can also laugh
at ourselves....Understand a concept....And lift
us to a higher plane of thinking......

Another thing I thought was really note
worthy...was that an article on Forbes.com They
have an outfit that charges $1,000 an hour to
clean up Corporate America's language....

They have found bad language is bad for
business.....And they expressly state that the
use of the F word & other profanities degrade
the giver and the listener.....

So these big businesses have found out that people are extremely uncomfortable with
profanity.....Imagine that!......

Needless to say...I loved the article....

Well Hon....Stay in touch....You still
haven't shared your photos....Or maybe you don't
have any?......Love ya!....Gram Yo!

Loretta,

Yes, he can rev up our engines! I like to go back to earlier posts of Irene's when she likened Michael to yeast giving rise to yummy freshly baked bread. The aroma fills the heart and makes your mouth water.

Tony, of course, sounds marvelous at 80. He sounds marvelous for a man of any age. But, oh, those tracks 14 and 21! They are the best on the whole CD, if you know what I mean, ladies. Now there's the yeast for the whole CD right there on those two tracks.

Nice job Tony and Michael! (The other tracks are good, too! Posted Image)

Johanne,

What a beautiful piece! Thank you for sharing that! I particularly like that it wraps God around Santa! I am going to share that with my daughter, Jesse tomorrow. She is 11 and has figured our that Santa doesn't actually bring the presents, and is trying very hard to hide her concern about what will be under the tree, knowing that I am out of a job, and things are very tough right now.

We have been trying to help her understand that it is not about the gifts, but even though she knows that in her head, I don't think her 11 year old heart is comfortable about that! She will get everything on her list, which was thankfully not very long, but I think she needs to see what you posted!

There I go, rambling about my kids again!

Anthony, When I see you perform...I better see the real you...I know you have a great talent, because anyone with such a gift for humor has to be a good entertainer! I wish I could sing, then I'd do a duet with you!

I'm glad you're posting again, because I missed you!

Laurie, Front and Center! Yeah! Now that's what I'm talkin about!

Irene, Loved the story about the lady who didn't know where generic is! LOL! You are a better person than I...because I just would have burst out laughing!

And by the way, if I can't have Michael for Christmas...can I at least dream? Really, Irene...you should share...

My husband is home sick with a sinus infection and stomach flu...poor guy...and we have been wallowing in our worries, but I just want to let you all know that when I come here I always get cheered up! And I love that I can log on in the middle of the night when my worries seem to overtake me as I sleep...or at least try to.

So thank you all for being the wonderful people that you are...and I will look forward to telling you some good news!

Meanwhile, I hope you are all enjoying your preparations for the holidays! We have had to put up a large gate barring the puppy from the Christmas Tree and the carpets! She has learned the game of running away from Mommy, so the next outing is to Petsmart for a collar and leash!

Anthony, you'd like her...she is a promising young actress! I accidentaslly closed her foot in the dishwaher, and she yelped and limped away, so naturally I picked her up and massaged the paw to see if it was broken or anything. As I did that, she put her head against me and whimpered pitifully...but when I put her down, she immediately bounded over to our ######zu and poked her as if to say, "I got cuddles! I got cuddles!" Ten minutes later, she was clear across the kitchen when I opened the dishwasher again...and the little drama queen immediately began limping and whimpering again!

I said, "Oh no no no, your just faking"...and the ######zu went over and poked her back, as if to say, "Ha!"

It was a riot!

Keep laughing and loving, everyone!

My heart weeps for Christopher and Dana Reeve's son... To be orphaned and still so young!!!!

At least he's not alone in his pain... He's surrounded by family and friends.

My thoughts are with him...

Hi Amber......

I'm really melancholy this year....I'm
really struggling with my emotions so close to
the surface.....And I am so moved by this season
.....And Michaels music has just made me a basket case.....I swear his voice is not of this
world.....There are moments when I think my heart is going to break into a million pieces...

He touches me in such a tender way....
I just cannot control my feelings....

That's when I know He was sent to us....
And he couldn't be moving me so deeply without
some kind of intervention.....Because I feel a
volcano has just errupted inside of me....His
voice is so georgeous....And I am so serious...

I had no idea music could have such a
tremendous effect on your emotions....But for
me....Michaels voice speaks to my spirit and
when I listen in ....I am simply overcome with
what I am hearing....I never knew a message could be relayed through just the tone of a
voice...

The tone of his voice just blows me away..
I turn it on repeat...I have to listen again...
I can hardly believe this young voice is so well
seasoned....He has to be an older spirit saved
to come down in this moment....Or he wouldn't
be such an answer to so many prayers.....

Could any one be so well received and to
completely satisfy the hunger of so many....If
It weren't all set in motion by a higher power..

And he is so well received because he sings of Love....And who isn't hungry for even
more love than they already have.....Michael is
proving that the magic is love.....And he is
proving its power.....

...He has reached down inside of me so deep and pulled out feelings & hidden emotions I didn't know were there....

But Michael has turned on a beautiful light
In our lives and has made us believe that this light can shine forever....Because Love
shines in the dark....And makes everything
worthwhile and beautiful......

Still.... beautiful things will always
bring tears...And that's what mine are....I feel
so fortunate to have these feelings so drenched
with love as they would have to be similar to
those feelings awaiting us in heaven.....

We can be correct in assuming our darling
Michael was sent to remind us of the love that
is a necessity that it be in our hearts for us to feel the comfort of heaven and enjoy into the
eternity the love we once knew and can enjoy
once again......

What a glorious cause to be your lifes
work.....I'm sure Michael was born under a lucky
Star.....He's just got it all .....And Amber...
I couldn't possibly be happier for anyone on the
face of the earth....

When I want to talk about Michael....It
seems you're the one I go to....How I would love
someday to just meet you....It would truly be a
treasured moment for me......

I always tell my children..If the
Lord can part the Red Sea....Anything is possible.....There is a power in believing...
Granpa Mitch can testify to that.....He always
said "Michael is going to bring this music back"
And it happened......

Well Hon....Thanks for listening to me
tell you that I am so impressed with Michael ...
I could just listen to him forever......

I bet you are ecstatic about Las Vegas...
I don't blame you.....I'm really happy that you
will be there....I know your influence just being there will help him.....

Love ya Hon....Thinkin of you always

Granma and lovin it!

Dear Irene, Loretta and You Lovely Ladie,
Irene, your words about Motherhood so touched me and are so true.

I was not fortunate to have a "wonderful" childhood. For most of it, I didn't have my mother. The one thing I vowed, was that when I had a family, my child would only know love and physical security. That when he went to bed at night, he knew he was loved and had a warm home.

So when my Johnny was born, he was like a little treasure. I learned quickly that these little people don't "fit into" our lives... we "fit into" thier lives... LOL..... Such treasures. Our one thought was to bring up a sensitive, loving young man. I think we did our job pretty well. He chose the most amazing young woman to marry and they are like two peas in a pod. I don't know where the "life time" went. But, I think my time was well spent.

Another year has gone by and I'm still astounded how fast they go. I wish all of you a wonderful 2007. May it be filled with health, laughter and much joy... Oh..... and many, many, Bublé Concerts.... (how could I have left that out) LOL
Love,
D
