I am a bungalow-B member and eveerything has been great and we all love what Michael is doing and fully support him. We are all kind of dissappointed. Everyone is having so many problems with ticketmaster getting seats. Many of us log in at the exact minute of the pre-sale time to get tickets and can't. It keeps telling us that there is no results for our search. I went so far as to email the ticketmaster staff and their reply was they were already sold-out. Many of us tried searching for single tickets and they pop up right away. This is how I got my tickets...... sold-out.... huh? Although when we try to reserve another one it's usually in a totally differnt section. It also seems that since we do pay to be a part of the fan club, shouldn't we be priviledged to front center seats on our pre-sales? I'm not sure if anyone from Michael's team reads our posts in the Bungalow-B boards, so I figured I would post one here. Can someone help or explain what's going on?
Thank you!

Chemelle,
As we have all learned, the Fan Club site is alloted a certain amount of tickets. They do not have control over this. The venue is basically in control of how many and where. I honestly don't even think that the Fan Club has information on where the seats are.
I know it's a bit frustrating at times, but the reality is this is a business that the venues are running and they have other interests that they are also obligated to.
Might I suggest that you go to the release dates for the public. I think you might have better luck there. There will be more opportunity to purchase seats, as I believe there are more seats in general. Will you get front row? No... those are kept for the auction. This is an area that Michael actually will benefit from.
I'm of a mind that any seat is a good seat. Would I love to be "front and center" as you said? You're darned right I would. But, I think we all need to see the cup half full, rather than 1/2 empty.
Hope that helps with your search and understanding of this process.

There's a lot to know about getting good seats and the how and why has changed as the years go by and technology changes. When you go online right when tickets go on sale, you are not alone. Everyone else is going online too. Not just in your city or state or country... So you have hundreds or thousands of people going online at the same time trying to find seats. When it finds tickets, the system holds them for you for two minutes. So that ties up lots of tickets. So it may come up as nothing available if there are a lot of people hunting and reserving. Also, the more seats you want together, the harder it is to find seats. Especially good ones. It's a math thing. A row only holds a certain amount of seats. Since most people buy in blocks of 2, but sometimes more, that usually leaves a random available single seat here or there. So you can easily be told nothing matches your results when you ask for a pair of tickets... When you put in a request for 2 seats, it only finds the openings for 2 together. That really limits the availability. You will ALWAYS get better seats if you are searching for singles. Has nothing to do with any flaws in the Ticketmaster system. With the popular shows, it will get to the point pretty fast where the only seats available are single seats.

As for fan club seats, I am going to be blunt. No one should join a club solely for seats. If someone is there only for that, they are going to be disappointed. The purpose of a fan club is NOT what the artist can do for the fan, but instead what the fan can do for the artist. The purpose of a fan club is to support the artist. Not to see what you can get out of them.

In a fan club, you meet other fans and people who appreciate the same artist you do. There are various activities and little perks, but the point is to celebrate the artist. They are not designed to make the artist LOSE money. Which is exactly what Michael would be doing if he provided the fans with the very best seats at no extra charge. Fan club memberships run $30-40. Front center seats sell for hundreds, sometimes thousands, of dollars. So they are worth a lot more than a membership fee.

It amazes me that anyone thinks that because they spent 40 bucks that they are entitled to something worth hundreds of dollars. Where else can you spend so little and get that much? Nowhere. Why should Michael or any artist lose thousands and thousands of dollars because someone spent a minimal amount of money on a membership? It would be more financially beneficial for them to do away with the fan clubs. The Ticketmaster auctions sell the "front center" seats for something closer to what they are really worth. The auctions are much more fair to artists than the old system and are becoming more popular every day. It's unlikely that artists are going to work for peanuts when they don't have to... or deserve to. Like everything else, "you get what you pay for" and we all have to accept that goes for tickets too.

I appreciate your previous points, and I did not join the fan club just to get good seats. I had a moment of frustration and I was letting it out. Excuse my rudeness! We are all here just to support Michael!

Thank you - how many times does this need to be said. Be happy that he is going to your town and you are able to see him.

There are some places(Canada, South America, Carribian, Mexico)he has not gone to. He hasn'at been to FLorida since 2005 (hope he makes it this year LOL).

I too was very disappointed about the pre-sale tickets. My husband spent a couple of hours trying to get 2 tickets for us. Later that day I talked with a friend who said only a limited amount of tickets are usually available for pre-sale--it didn;'t make me feel any better but at least I quit blaming my dial up internet and my slow typing husband.

Neither did I join exclusively for the presales. That's just an added perk. With that said, I am extremely disappointed with the Bungalow presales. Password not working when I type it in? Of course, I had to guess, they used ticket###### which has more of a habit of screwing everything up than anything else than a much superior service as musictoday which another fan club I belong to uses. And Vegi, I'm gonna have to disagree with you on the auction thingy. While ticketmaster may have that up there for the artist's benefit, when it comes to the good seats, it's usually the ticketscalper, not the artist who profits from the sale. They flood ticketmaster or are goody goody with the venue, buy in bulk and then mark up the ticket to the point where the average person usually is left out in the cold. While I'm happy with what I get usually, it's a part of the game of securing good seats to the venue.

And besides, I have had the good fortune to meet some great people just by belonging to boards and fanclubs. And I have also had the good fortune to get my hands on some great stuff via the fanclubs that I belong to, worth their weight in gold. Anyways, Mikey could get with the game too and start offering some sort of VIP package to his fans. He benefits, the fan benefits. Just a suggestion worth my two cents worth, I am sure.

Oh, by the way, I managed to get me some great seats NOT in fanclub presales, including a last minute front row ticket to see Mikey in Philly back in August. So, with a little luck and dilligence, good seats can be had.
