i saw it in my lybrary the article with michael in focus magazine from the knack magazine.

it was a very interresting interview about the new cd and other very interesting topic's i could not copy the article will try to get a hold of it somehow but here are some interesting quote's!

-I AM A FRAUD(michael says somewhere he admitts he is a fraud, propably reffering to the standards he want's to keep alive)

-that's life-sinatra's version was not good!!-further on that topic michael states that frank's version of that's life was too screemish,he didn't like frank's version of it.

-about "i've got you under my skin(from previous recording)
boy that was a real strinker he says about his version he thought it was the worst thing he recorded allso said that he will allways record live now instead of editing tracks afterwords

-about his own songwriting ability's
they ask him why he is so carefull with the amount of own material michael said something like

-i'm not good enough to write a full album+i love the standards.
pretty honest and clear answer.

-allso he hates to be called a lounge singer because of the strange sound lounge singer has nowerdays.

-i'm no swingsinger!!

said this because he's pretty frustrated about the fact people tend to want to put him in category of a pure swing singer,he said i sing swing, soul, bossa, rock !

what strikes me is the fact that i allmost remember every word of that interview knowing i read it just once 2days ago!?

michael does have that effect on us don't he??

Hello Nico my friend,

I think the English language is getting in your way a little--but you do better than I do in Greek!!!!! well done anyway

When Michael said he "felt like a fraud" he said something like "some days I wake up and feel like a king, others I wake up and feel like a fraud" --its about being confident, or not confident--depending on one's mood.Thats not word for word, but I think thats what he meant.

As you say he is very honest, I would not like it if you were misunderstood. I know you
think that Michael is the Best as I do.

Although I have been a Fan of Sinatra since the early 1940's ---I begin to think that Michael will one day overtake Sinatra -- particularly since the concert at the Shaftesbury Theatre. I think Michael has grown tremendously in strength and authority in both his voice and his presence.

Kate

To dear Michael,

I think I speak for many, if not all, your fans. I think in no way should you consider yourself a fraud. You seem to be a most sincere and loving person along with your amazing talent. I believe we have no idea why you should say that. Please know that we love and respect you and appreciate your talents soooo much!

Take care!
Jo

hi kate actualy the interview was in my language so it wasn't a language thing i just translated the term michael used "ik ben een bedrieger"
and you can ask around it means i'm a fraud, but i don't think this is to be taken too serious he said that just to make a statement about singing other people's songs, that he will keep on doing it because he like's it and so he should, but the part about him outgrowing frank hmmm

i don't think so,no i'm 100%certain he won't outgrow frank because frank has such a big and broad impact on music i doubt that michael could ever even touch frank in that way.

kate you know better than me frank ruled for over 40years that's a pretty big thing to beat.

but as a performer he is a class act one of the very best in this genre no question about it.
