Hello Nico, good to talk again

Yes indeed, your son will go "Wow" the sky is the limit with Michael. I'm very privileged to have lived long enough to see him and not only that, "young enough" like his Granpa Mitch (who is now in ItaLY WITH HIM)to travel and enjoy his concerts so very much. I hope to go to America to see him next year because I am sorry to say I doubt if he will be coming our way until the year after???

I love all kinds of music Nico. I lived in London when I was younger and working and I've lost count of all the wonderful artists I've ever seen from Classical, Ballet, Orchestral
All the big musicals when they first came on stage and of course all these great singers. I've been very lucky.

Must close now and get on with my day, my elderly neighbour needs my help!!!!!

Speak again soon

Hello again Nico,

You certainly have taste young person of 35
Gene Kelly indeed. He was GREAT. I used to love all the old MGM Musicals, all singing all dancing and telling the lifestories of composers such as Rodgers and Hart
I have quite a collection of video tapes
of things like 7 Brides for 7 Brothers, High Society (one of my favourites) etc. Of course I have Sinatra on video and believe it or not I just bought a CD in the Bird Market in Antwerpen
of Sinatra and I've been so busy with Buble I haven't had time to look at it yet.!!!!
I'm now going to retire into my living room and watch Caught in the Act once again. Can't get enough of it.
I'm going to see Michael in Cardiff on 15th December, my 4th concert.
speak to you again

Hello Loretta,
Nice to hear from you. Nico was at the concert in Brussels and saw Michael bend down to kiss me wow wow wow. It was quite unexpected !!!
but o so lovely, will never get over it !!!!
I think Nico was born in the wrong century, he really likes a lot of "our" sort of music.
Just another little story for him:-
When I saw Sammy Davis Jnr. on the London stage, it was a Saturday night. In those days our law about performing on Sundays was very strict indeed. It was a definite no no.
Well as you know, once started Sammy was into the mood and very difficult to get off the stage!! As midnight approached the London management began to get anxious and shortly after that he was invited to finish his act off.
Sammy wasn't having any of it!!!They finally had to bring down the safety curtain while he was still dancing and singing. Afterwards a friend and I went round to the stage door and he was still singing and dancing and signing autographs all at the same time, as lively as a cricket. What a man.

Michael is in Italy now,I wish ,never mind, I'll be in Cardiff on the 15th December, his last concert over here. Its going to be quite something, I'm sure I shall get all emotional???

We're both lucky Loretta to have had the chance
to see such a talent come along in our lifetime.

Must close now, but lovely to talk again. Take all care

Hello Nico

I've had quite a feast of music tonight. I'v e even seen your Rick Astley on TV. Tell me about him, what makes you a fan of his? Jamie Cullum was on also singing Mrs Robinson (not one of my favourite songs)
I then played Caught in the Act yet again and afterwards I opened up the Sinatra DVD I had bought in Antwerp.
Musically it was great, but I was amazed at how stilted and old fashioned Sinatra looked after seeing Buble interacting with his audience and sooooo relaxed.
I think it is inevitable, look how EVERYTHING has changed since Sinatra was at the height of his career, perhaps its best just to listen to the "old" favourites???
You know I have a very heavy cold and a sore throat, so perhaps I'm feeling a bit down in the dumps.Liza Minelli, Judy Garland's daughter has gone a bit odd, don't you think? I saw the two of them on stage a couple of times and she was great in those days, just as she was great in the film Cabaret, but she was never ever as good as her Mother.
I'm going to bed now, I'll tell you more about the car accident when I saw Sinatra another time.Told in full its quite funny in parts.

Speak tomorrow

hi kate,
i'm just back and had the time of my life you may not beleve what happend to me but it's the truth!!
so i was at the concert dancing and singin'along when suddenly some young man approached me and started saying that he noticed my enthusiasm then he said that he has one vip pass to go to the after party to meet rick astley!!!!!!!!!
i didn't know what to think but he said he got this thru a dad of his friend who knew rick and that he wasn't interested and wanted to sell it to me(20pounds)i thought wat the hell i'll do it!
then the concert end and i go to the vip area and they let me in!!
walked in and there he was chatting with people..
i approach him and he notces me wearing a 1989tour scarf and started talking to me!!!
so i'm very nervous then and gave him my present
a cd of jazz crooners and a dvd''lust for life''
so he thanks me but then i say to him i've got my wife and cousin out in the cold because they didnt have a vip pass so he instandly rushes with me down the stairs to talk to the secguard to let 2other people in!!and so we where all there chatting to him about his family, took pictures had autographs ishowed him the original 1989ticket of brussels and had the buble ticket in there and he asked me.how was he??i said fantastic you should go and see him too!!!
we said goodbye my wife got 6kisses!!!!!!
so he was an absolute gentlemann and very down to earth and really made an effort for us!!

"heaven,i'm in heaven"

Hello Nico,
You obviously had yourself a ball !!!!
and Rick Astley sounds like he's a real gentleman. I liked the look of him on TV but know very little about him.
You really "fell on your feet" didn't you when you bought that ticket!!! just look at what happened after when you actually met Rick.
I think its great when people like Rick go out of their way to make you feel comfortable.
You don't say where the concert was held??? and why you were dancing?? did he invite you to come down to the stage like Michael does??
I'm very happy for you.
I've had a quiet day, I have a heavy cold and I watched an old DVD of Cabaret with Liza Minelli
I also booked my Hotel room in Cardiff and got a good deal. Michael is there on the 15th December and I have my ticket already booked, but I don't think anything will ever be the same as Brussels.
Do you live in Belgium?
Have you seen our UK fan Club Web Site?
http://www.michaelbublefanclub.co.uk
or Gillies Marc (the frenchman who lives in Germany who I met up with in Brussels, he is very clever and has his own site) http://www.bublemania.com that really is well worth a visit. He has a chat room, but my computer won't let me get into it.
So pleased to hear from you and all your wonderful news about Rick Astley.

it was in the stands we were all having a ball just dancing and singing along so a young man approached me to go afterwords in the vip aerea so i could meet rick.
it was at the shepards bush theater.
i was 3days in the uk i stayed with a nice of me who lives in ealing.
rick sang a lot of standards"cheeck to cheek,s'wonderfull,cry me a river,you're nobody till somebody loves you,luck be a lady,nature boy,where do i begin,my baby just cares,when i fall in love,these foolish things"and some of his old hits.
i really had a ball!

this concert was being filmed with6 camera's and it will be released as a dvd!!
i did an interview with camera's about rick.
so imagine that i go for the first time to the uk and this concert is going to be releases as a dvd!!!

combined with the meeting with him it was a miracle what happened to me.i showed him my buble ticket and he asked how he was and i said.....wonderfull and said that he should go and see him!!

now wasnt that nice of me??

Rockin' Robin

Nice of you to bump our little thread, I'm staying in Bristol with my Nephew and his family. Have been to the rRaces today and had two winners. We have a houseful of guests, but I'm baeing a bit anti-social now in order to talk to my friends on the Board.
Its been difficult being away from Michael, and listening to other kinds of music. I was. however, very surprised to find that I like a CD by David Cassidy (it was his attempt at a comeback I think) its called "A touch of Blue" I wonder if anyone knows it?? I still can't appreciate "Sting" ?????

Hope you don't mind, thought I'd just talk for a minute or so.

Have a happy New Year

Hi everyone,

I know this goes back quite a bit but, for some reason, I missed seeing it
previously.

KATE and NICO and the rest of you, I certainly enjoy reading about your
experiences and your thoughts about Michael and the others. And, KATE,
I agree with every word you said about the talents of MICHAEL and how
very fortunate we are that he is now here for everyone to enjoy!!!

Looking forward to seeing more posts from you when you return from
your most recent trip!

Take care,
Jo

Hello again Jo, I have just picked up on your June post and realised that you have taken me back to 2005 when I went to Brussels to see Michael---what an occasion that was for me!!!!--what memories
I had lost my way to the concert hall and consequently was late getting there and had to wait at the back of the theatre until MB had finished his first song.
By sheer coincidence I was walking down the middle aisle to my stalls seat when he asked "Is there anyone here from England" I was almost at his feet when I said "I am" What followed caused one kind Fan to send me the photo you see on the left and for Nico and Nourjal to become my friends.
With the auditorium in darkness and just the spotlight on us, Michael literally lay down over the edge of the stage to give me a kiss and as I walked to my seat everyone started applauding. It was quite a moment. Despite having seen him at quite a few concerts in the UK, this was my first, but not my last encounter with Michael. It has been an eventful journey and is not yet finished.
Kate
